    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

    Hi all, here's a Solidarity borderline-related question:

Are there any chances we get instant-speed versions of the Modern cantrips (Sleight of Hand and Serum Visions)? This would be an...

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

21 lands seems high by all standards. The default count is 18, and some people
    run 19.

I see you're running Brain Freeze and Visions of Beyond main. I haven't tested
    Visions of Beyond, but...

Re: SCG LA: Four Horseman in 17th - How?

Well, the rules as written don't allow it, but it seems plausible to state the outcome of the Orb/Monolith loop as:

"Loop until all cards are put into the graveyard and Emrakul is the last card on...

    Agree with everything you said.

I like Peer Through Depths better than Flash of Insight. But compare Flash of Insight and Snapcaster Mage. Pre-combo, you can cycle Flash of Insight for UUU. For...

This is what I roll on MTGO. Need to swap my LEDs back to Forces; didn't like playing T.E.S. that much.

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

I've been playing a list with 3 Snapcaster Mages and 3 Snaps (no Turnabouts), and it works pretty well. I found 4 or each to clog up my hand too much. It generates so much mana that I don't run Brain...

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

Man, I don't take offense on these forums. I just wish every one was as constructive as Silent Requiem and a few other fellows.

Maybe what I hate Teeg for is that it prevents 4 Repeals post-board...

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

If you have Brainstorm and Opt you see 5 cards (Brainstorm is always cast last). With Brainstorm and Tome Scour you see 4.

If you Brainstorm without Impulse, Peer Through Depths, Brain Freeze, or...

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

Nice insights. The thing that Solidarity can only go off turns 4+ is a real hindrance at the current state of legacy.

    - It makes us vulnerable to aggro decks; they can reliably Green Sun's Zenith...

    @benthetenor

Would you care to share the list you tested with? You mentioned you're playing only 4 Snapcaster Mage and 2 Visions of Beyond differently from Gearhart's list; what did you take out...

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

You've got an interesting question there. Stroke of Genius might be better than Blue Sun's Zenith in builds running Snapcaster Mage. But the difference is marginal at best, and only if you are in a...

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

I actually playtested two versions of solidarity that could loop itself; the goal being to drop kill conditions from the main and kill with Blue Sun's out of the board. This deck could actually...

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

Another relevant problem is that everyone not playing Spell Snare, Pierces, Forces, Dazes (and flashing this crap back with Snapcaster) is Green Sun Zenith'ing into Gaddock Teeg on turns 2-3.

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

This doesn't seem right. In case you're not aware of the Brainstorm-Freeze trick, here is an alternate line of play that illustrates it:

High Tide, Meditate, Brainstorm, Reset, Brain Freeze,...

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

    @SupREME-10

The deck list is alright. If you want to play with a Tide in the board (along a Turnabout and a Meditate), you might consider running 4 Cunning Wishes. I would also go down to 60 cards...

Nice reports! Thanks for sharing all this. I had one Surgical Extraction as a wish target in the sideboard, but having multiples to bring in might be a good choice for decks light on win conditions....

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

I playtested the list a little bit (changed the two Deep Analysis for Meditates) and tried to go off by turns 4-5. The new list still fizzled.

    Some impressions on card choices:

    Noxious Revival...

    Re: Tolarian Tides

I guess I would need to test it... but with less mana (only 1 Turnabout) and less draw (no Meditate), I don't see how this fizzles less than the classic version.

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

The lands are messed up. I play 12 Islands and 6 Fetches. I put Turnabouts back in the place of the Counterspells; I was thinking about it and I agree with you that more Turnabouts might be what I...
