I'm a bit late to the discussion, and I've not been playing that much since the ban, but I've tried builds with 2 basics and 2 green duals, to going all the way up to 4 basics and no green at all,...
I don't think it's worth replacing PIF with IGG at all, PIF is quite possibly the best card in the entire deck, so cutting it doesn't really make sense imo.
No, it's bad. First you have to get to find a way to play it, then you need to play a bunch of spells in the same turn to gain enough life (around 8-9 spells in one turn) to be able to activate it,...
No, I'm not. Here's the list I'm currently on: https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/468932#online, though in paper I play dread of night rather than disfigure, but I figured I didn't need them online...
So I have a few differing opinions with these recent posts about both empty and dark petition.
Personally, I think empty is an amazing card, to the point where I play it in the maindeck and am...
Personally, I don't really think carpet is bad, but I don't think it's that great either, to the point where it's not currently in my sideboard. The main problem I have with carpet is that it's so...
YES! Masterful play Togores, congratulations!
1-1 in semis and having a very easy combo turn, congrats on grand finals!
Just tuned in to the stream to see Togores in the top 8, congrats man, well deserved!
Dark confidant is good vs miracles and can be ok vs combo since it lets you be very aggressive with discard, but it's risky since you might just die because you played a bob while your opponent plays...
I tried dark petition a little when it was released, but soon went back to grim tutor because it's so much more flexible, allowing you to get a rebuild, massacre, abrupt decay or whatever in...
Can't say I've ever seen that. I personally play grixis delver when I don't feel like playing ANT, and an early empty is VERY difficult to beat, you basically have to have a very nutty pyromancer...
I was watching that game live, and it was so frustrating to try and come up with winning lines, since you're always just off. I personally think I would've just gone for the tendrils to put him to 3,...
Doubt it. I mean, pretty much every list runs like the same 55 stock cards and then there's room for personal preferences, metagame calls and such.
Well, he's 0-1 in the finals as of this post. Though infect is a pretty decent matchup so I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up winning.
Good post, though I'd like to add that one of empty's best applications is vs delver decks, since they tend to run very few (if any) answers to it
what
I suppose so, and I agree with not boarding decay vs infect, though I probably wouldn't bring in grip either, though that might be wrong on my part. I suppose it just feels like, to me at...
Well yeah, of course. I probably worded that badly. It was more of a general question to the people who run krosan grip in their sideboard, and why they do it.
Is this really relevant though? I personally run 3 decays and 0 grips because I don't think grip is very good at all. It's not coming in vs omnitell or infect since the plan is to just race them, and...
Nice reports, both of you! I have a question though nevilshute, why the decision to replace your bobs with more pyromancers for the main event?
10th and 15th... So close! Oh well, nice runs anyway.
Bleh, looks like Jamie got his 3rd loss in round 12, too bad. Martin, Martin and Kai still alive though, gogogo!
Kai apparantly 0-1 in this round as well.
Kai on stream now, game 3 just...
Yeah, well done everyone who went on to day 2, good luck tomorrow!
Kai lost :(
Pretty close games though, and vs a hard matchup
Kai on stream! Looks like game 3 vs BUG delver?
Ah, my bad, apparantly it's game 2 with Kai down one.
Oh my, the pithing needle on LED, followed by the stifle on LED activation.
