Yes you are right about almost all points. I found that you need a certain creature density if you want a creature to survive. I would play it if I could work out a completely creatureless build that...
I tried it about a year ago pretty much for the same reasons you want to.
I found it way too clunky and too slow.
I also wouldn't know what to cut from the main for a walking ballista if I would...
Yes you do, you say a large part of your meta is D&T however you only run 2 Sulfur Elemental. If you look at ZTurgeon's Sideboard he runs 4. For a good reason because D&T has trouble dealing with it....
I really like the MD and I am running something quite similar. Think I have a +1 Hazoret +1 Confluence -1 Chandra -1 Magus. But I can see running your main as well.
I do have some comments /...
I doubt that is needed (at least for me it isn't).
I still find it hard to believe that a "Meta deck" can be a deck to beat. Contradictio in terminis, seems the meta doesn't know how to adjust.
If you expect the Mirror cut the Furnaces! I am off the Furnaces due to popularity of this deck. Fiery Confluence turned into Stone Rain is not funny!
There are now a couple of different versions of this deck with various decent / good results so if you like me have been working / toying around with a heavy control (Moonwalker like) build. I have...
I was running a very "alternative" list (No creatures, 8 Planeswalkers, 4 Sun and a Wishboard)
I should have run 4 Karn, however I played 3 and 1 Jaya Ballard (Which should have been the 4th Karn,...
Was trying to get away with a short answer but ok I'll bite.
Rarely I would keep a hand that would not have a T1 lockpiece. (turn 1 Chalice, Moon, Sun or 3ball)
This most times require a turn 1 Sol...
If the top end of your deck is CMC3 then you don't need to run them anyway since Great Furnace only has synergy with the tokens from Karn, Scion of Urza. So if you don't run those, don't run Great...
I totally agree with the first part about Magus, I also prefer Blood Sun over Magus.
Why would you have to cut Karn if you were to cut all the creatures? If people want to trade "resources" (cards...
Do you think 3 Karn is the correct number or was this to test and are you going to shift it down to 2 again?
Would definately find room for the 4th Chandra.
Jelmer
Ok thought I was missing something
Nice result.
Great Furnace seems like a great addition.
What is the reason for the Snow Covered Mountains?
Jelmer
Karn seems like a cool option, which I thought was too weak, I was looking at Jaya as a new addition. Maybe have to look at Karn more closer (would be in a walker only build though with Burning...
At the moment the slots I dedicate to the Wishboard are these:
1 Banefire
1 Boiling Seas
1 Fiery Confluence
1 Pyroclasm
1 Aftershock
1 Stone Rain
What was your reasoning for adding the Walking Ballista?
Particular matchups in mind?
Thx
Jelmer
How about "Nope". Sin Prodder does nothing for the "Walker" List and Burning Wish adds a lot of versatility.
First thought is "Cute" and the double red isn't great. But recurring can be pretty nice.
Maybe someone can test it in the creature build.
Aftershock is a nice find! Forgot about that one. 3 damage could be an issue obv.
Would play 3 I think. 4 if you want to make a statement.
To me you are exaggerating a bit. Yes it isn't a great MU. But less then 50% of the S&S lists run Cunning Wish. (To be honest I have never seen it, let alone played against it) On average a S&S deck...
How do you mean dead in the water? You have Bridge where you can hide behind, and Trinisphere is Omniscience BFF (Not!) Sorcerous Spyglass on Sneak Attack. Also wishing for a Boiling Seas will have...
