Re: Big Red (Mono-R Sneak Attack)

If we replaced chalice with void mirror, we wouldn't need to worry about counter magic. However I guess the deck becomes pretty weak to discard. Removing chalice might open up the abilty to cast 1...

Nice DNSolver! How do you like the chalice in the sb and the main deck faithless?

Re: Big Red (Mono-R Sneak Attack)

How do you like 4x Sandstone Needle? I've never run more than 2 (and that was when I wanted RR for Chandra). Seems like having multiple lands that come in play tapped might be an issue in multiples. ...

Re: Big Red (Mono-R Sneak Attack)

Yeah that seems great keep testing. I think 4 song's is the correct call as well. Seething Song is also an easy card to board out against counter spell decks.

Re: Big Red (Mono-R Sneak Attack)

Fiery Confluence completely obliterates moon-stompy & dnt. It also gives us main deck answers to ensnaring bridge and can bait counters. If you get enough reps in you will learn that more often than...

Re: Big Red (Mono-R Sneak Attack)

My sense is that with the current meta Bloodmoon isn't as strong as it once was. Don't get me wrong the card can be great (and a few copies probably belong in the sb) however with the rise of back to...

Loving the deck with 4 Thought-Knot's main & moonless. If you are still on the list I highly suggest it. Going to give blood sun a whirl. Goblin Cratermaker is a house. ...

Re: Big Red (Mono-R Sneak Attack)

Dnt can be super frustrating with the mana screw. You could also consider leaving Moons in to null the wasteland/port garbage. Titan is soooo good agaisn't Dnt (and Teeg ) if you can get to 6...

Re: Big Red (Mono-R Sneak Attack)

Against Infect, I'll bring my other 2x Blood Moons in. Sideout the Songs, bring in Abrade's/Fallout. A Blood Moon on the play turn 1 is GG. Chalice is also great!

I try to leave the Seething...

    Nice, Xod

    2-0 Infect
    2-0 Sneak n Show
    1-2 Jeskai Stoneblade

Worth mentioning, I've always felt SnS...

All very good points Xod! I really think this list has legs in the current meta. I look forward to your report! I've only played this Chinese list once thus far, and went 3-1. ;)

Re: Big Red (Mono-R Sneak Attack)

Yeah I think going heavy with Inferno Titan is the correct call, it destroys Dnt on the regular. Have you seen the list running 1x Zhalfirin Void in the main? I've been having success with the new...

Re: Big Red (Mono-R Sneak Attack)

I run 2x magus in the sb and don't think i'll even be taking those out. Grip can't kill Magus.

Re: Big Red (Mono-R Sneak Attack)

So I've thinking a lot about griselbrand lately. The only way we can play him is if we sneak him in with sneak attack or through the breach. And the reason we run him is to tutor for our bigs (wurm...
