Even unflipped, Search does not disappoint. Just as mana excelleration, Search is great. If you ever get the CA engine going though, it's just insane.

    Re: [DTB] UWx Miracle Control

Search is really pretty spicy. I don't know if I'd run more than one but the one has been very good. Turning it into a land on turn 4 can let you play Jace outside of Daze range and the filtering is...

I like Purge, but I feel like it's hard to justify a slot for it over the second Disenchant or Council's Judgement.

I don't think Deathrite needs to be banned, but anyways... We used to discuss Black splash a whole, whole lot back in the day. I was never much impressed with it then and I don't see myself getting...

    Re: [DTB] UWx Miracle Control

    Hay guyz, I am back.

I recently sleeved up a 19 land, 4 BS, 4 Ponder, 4 Portent, 2 Predict list. Sometimes the mana has felt sketchy, but it's really been surprisingly solid. I could convince...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

Honestly, it's insulting that they would use "slows down tournament play" as an excuse when they've pulled nearly all of their tournament support for Legacy. People play Legacy because they like the...

To be fair, Chi Hoi could have just fetched before casting the Brainstorm too and never even given Brad the option of screwing him with Daze, so I believe at this point they were both getting a...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

I think that a better argument to make would be that creatures (all of them) are better against Infect. Duke's creatureless version can get overpowered in the early game much easier it would seem....

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

As I was reading through the last page, I was actually thinking the same thing. The Legacy metagame, and maybe the SCG circuit meta in particular, is very slow to change. It wasn't that long ago that...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

I suppose that's true, but they run Top also. So if I have a Top + Shared Fate then I should win. If they have a Top out then I should lose. If neither of us have Tops then who knows, and if both of...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

Extract doesn't really do anything and shared fate seems pretty scary since they'll be able to cast our Jaces and it's unlikely that we'll be able to cast anything of theirs in a reasonable amount of...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

12-Post is very nearly a lost cause, but there are things you can do to not lose every time. In order to win, you basically have to play the game close to perfectly. That's a given. In addition, you...

    Re: [DTB] Elves!

I could be wrong, but I have to think that the only reason Blood Moon worked was because no one expected an Elves deck to disrupt their mana. There's possibly an opportunity for one, maybe two, more...
  15. Re: [The State of Legacy] - LIVE Podcast with MattiasNL, Bahra and itsJulian - TONIGH

This is Legacy, there's quite a few cards and interactions that are terribly unfun for one or even both players. I don't think that banning stuff for being unfun is the way to approach the format.

I think it's pretty good in practice too. Just because you don't have a followup Red source yet doesn't mean that you need to get one with your last fetchland. A lot depends on you weighing their...

If you have 23 and probably even 22 lands, you can side one out against pretty much anything without Wastelands or some sort of pressure on your mana. Just make sure that the cards you bring in are...

Since running three Volcanics, it has never been an issue. Two was very occasionally troublesome. Mountain is always an option, but I don't prefer it.

Re: [Article]Eternal Europe: Why Aggro Died

I mean, Tom's Infect deck really isn't any more of an aggro deck than RUG Delver is. They both essentially play 12 threats and then some disruption. Infect is definitely more aggressive than RUG. I...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

I like Blood Moon for this meta, but I don't really like it against Jund. Jund has a lot of outs to it and I think that's some of the awkwardness in that one game. It's much more of a lock for BUG.

Plow isn't even necessarily a 4-of. I can't see playing Bolt over that or even REB or Council's Judgment.

Re: [Article]Eternal Europe: Why Aggro Died

Good article and I think it really helps illustrate why aggro is bad in Legacy at the moment (and perhaps just from here on out). Sure TNN is a poorly done card, I don't think many would argue with...

Being on the draw means that they will have the opportunity to discard the Brainstorm or Top sitting in your hand. GBx matchups are not about out-carding them; it's about overpowering them.

So let's say you leave in your Entreats and you don't play EE anyways. Do you leave in one or two Terminus as a fail safe or not?
