Here are the details to that tourney. Airport road in Mississauga area.

I'm not sure taking the Knarich or any Spanno...
@(nameless one): thank you for the playtest report. It was very helpful.
The game 1 pre-board hand was pretty iffy to me. 2 Mox, 2 lands, and no Chalice or Sphere is a hard decision to keep. Were...
@(nameless one): haha. I'm sure we'll bump into each other one of these tourneys. And maybe even RaZe too. MUD ftw! It would be awesome if all of us make top 4.
Legacy is not very popular here in Mississauga, even at Comic Connections Oakville no one ends up playing legacy on their legacy day.
The place I went to last week is Meeplemart, 247 Spadina Rd.,...
2 Metalworker lists made it to top 8 of SCG Invitational Qualifiers, Gregg Spano got 4th, and there was another one at 2nd place.
@RaZe: sorry, I don't have any experience against Goblins.
@nerv2004: Thank you for that.
While I don't think Spellskites fit well in a Forgemaster combo build, (Metalworker acts like your Spellskite in that build) in a build that puts a lot of value in...
Now posted.
@ant: quick question: How many times did you lock an opponent out using Smokestack in the games you played?
@Bobmans: I don't like the idea of having the Welders and AiDs maindeck, but AiDs SB sounds better.
@ant: glad you enjoyed, and well, that's your list now. There's a lot of sequencing that can end...
Hi Alex,
I played against elves for top8 in a tourney today and felt how fast they are (I lost). I asked the elves player how MUD does against him. The answer seems to be sticking a Chalice @ 1...
Its been quiet here lately, I hope people aren't giving up on MUD, hoping to spark up things here.
I played in a monthly tourney last weekend with my MUDstax list. I didnt want to make any big...
Burn does have a good number of creatures, sorceries, and some with enchantments. They cant cast those while they are tangled. When you land Trinisphere, then Tangle Wire, or sometimes the other way...
This is the aggro list I have been testing.
With the Trinispheres and Tangle Wires together, xUG delver decks are easier to handle, and Infect becomes manageable. Tangle Wire with Trinisphere...
Well, my explanation would be that I run 3 Cavern of Souls maindeck for the FoWs and also feel like Trinisphere is low impact in this match-up. I look out more for the removals that Miracles play.
Trinispheres out, Blightsteel Colossus can come out, even Grim Monoliths can come out. Keep Staves in, drawing extra cards is useful when your games get grindy. A Revoker eats a Sword, Terminus, or...
With the Forgemaster package out, we have about 10 cards we have to fill
I have used Smokestacks, Tangle Wires, and moved Phyrexian Revokers maindeck before with a great success.
Now, I am...
@Alex_UNLIMITED: Mishra's Helix wouldn't replace Sundering Titan, but to be tested over Tangle Wire on lists that run them. Sundering Titan will still be there. Aside from that, Helix might end up in...
@Bobmans: I see your point. More cards to test then.
Sundering Titan trumphs over Helix in a 12post list, but in a non-post list, Helix may be preferred for its lower curve.
These cards can still be moved out if you need more spots:
1 Spine of Ish Sah (1 is maindeck already, and if you have Karn maindeck as well)
1 Steel Hellkite (if you have 1 maindeck already)
2...
I've been running 3 Trinispheres main, and sometimes 1 in the side depending on if I see Storm decks.
My current list I'm testing has 3 Trinispheres and 3 Tangle Wires MD. There are times where...
@ Alex_UNLIMITED: how goes your sideboard building?
@Zirath: Hey Zirath, you seem to be running non-12post still for your MUD-stompy. May I ask why you have preferred not to? Thank you for your...
I am also testing Trinispheres and Tangle Wires together. I am developing an aggro list (similar to Mockingbird's post on page 77, in5ano decklist) and a more control-ish build. There aren't any...
@Bobmans: Grim Monolith provides us with nice acceleration. Turn 1 Metalworker, Trinisphere, or even Lodestone Golem, or turn 2 Wurmcoil Engine can change a lot of games quick. It can also help when...
How is the test for Tangle Wires over Trinispheres in a non-Welder build going?
