Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

It's just that, this is a late game deck that loves late game advantages. I never saw anything wrong with Lynx standing back while Avens and Specters beat them to a bloody pulp.

    Persoally, I dont...

Gahh.... Well, I'll update my Aggro build I guess....

    4 Wasteland
    4 Bloodstained Mire
    2 Polluted Delta

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Anwar wouldnt agree with Mom not being a threat.

I considered running White, but Mox Diamond does too much for us. That card is the answer and reason why we were able to avoid Wasteland.

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Everyone says Deadguy is bad now.... I still se potential in it.

The new list? Well, Lions are alright. Isamaru can stay. I didnt like Savannah Lion much. I've been leaning more towards a 4/2-3/2...

I really think the Serum Powder tech in this SB is very strong. This deck could give Serum Powder a whirl.

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Specter is much better. When they're topdecking, they will never (almost never) beat you. It's a slim chance that they would have both Hulk and Flash in hand when facing down a Specter.

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Run Chrome Mox or more Bw Sources. Also, Wasteland is becoming more and more obsolete. It seems it's all about Library/Card Quantity/Card Advantage Control. Extirpate ie getting better now because it...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

You should play it over Specters actually. Hulk doesnt care when you play a 1st turn Specter anyway. At least if you play this when they're disrupted it, you can take down Tutors to keep them from...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Seems a little hard to power out, but thankfully, we have a ton of disruption to let us go into Turn 3 just to drop this guy on the board.

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I never really needed Negators since I have a threat coming down anyways, and the excess discard constricts their options. That should buy me enough time to deal 20 damage.

    As for the Unmask part,...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

That sounds reasonable. The reason why I have 8 pitch cards because Confidant usually helps me recover... so yeah.

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

It's just easier for me to do it early against a deck like Flash.

    1. My deck is awfully like yours in a way.
    2. I like the direction you're taking. It seems a lot like mine actually.

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Actually... I will consider that idea. I still want to run Jotun Grunt, but the Lions can go. I just want 1c Drops just to make Therapies effective really.

    -3 Isamaru

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

You want Chrome Mox because it also accelerates your Turn 1 and Turn 2. I play it because it actually makes my 2nd turn dangerous. Unlike Deadguy, it has no explosive starts - just consistent ones....

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Awful Pre-Board game. However, I do get the match up even when I open with a Therapy on Dark Ritual or LED, I can drastically turn the game around in my favor. A 1st turn Hymn isnt bad either.

Actually, I really want to add a 23rd Land to the list, probably a Godless Shrine. Hitting BB turn two is no problem, but getting White mana to stick is hard. I really want another...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

The reason I had Lions and Hounds in here because of Vial Goblins and the early game synergy. If I were to replace them, it'd be

    -3 Lions
    -3 Hounds
    -3 Grunts

    +4 Sarcomancy
    +4 Rotting Giant...

It's Tormod's Crypt right now. I'm thinking of turning my Crypts into Dystopia actually.

Actually, draw and an overwhelming amount of marginal threats and disruption.

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

It shouldnt matter. Glowrider and Lion beats is already a good clock in that match-up. Glowrider + mana denial is just sexy tech right there, and making every Dark Ritual into an unthreshed Cabal Rit...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

True, but here's my problem. My creatures are weak an ineffective in the red zone if I cant set-up my draw engine. Shoving a Mask on a Hound or Lion is really ineffective because you know it's going...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Wow... techy. My friend does the same thing with old school Rock. His deck was too slow and underwhelming against Goblins because he loses Domination od the board quite easily. So Plague was pretty...
