Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Swords is amazing in the main board and I bet zilla could even back me up on this one. It is your one and only answer to MB Enforcers. Instant speed removal against Warchiefs/piledrivers. It's...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

It's good to see that most people are agreeing that needle is a must for unknown metagames. Its versatility, casting cost, and nuetral color *none* fits the decks theme perfectly. I could see if...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I actually have been putting some thought into that idea as well. The deck truly does need some more bodies to bring in from the board....but I'm not sure if the deck can sacrfice not having needle....

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I think what Anwar is saying is the key in deciding what is going on in your deck. You are playing a middle ground between the two styles. Late game card advantage through disruption and Confidant...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I agree that Negator definately shines in some matches and can push the game against some aggro decks. I still don't get why you need 8 fetches, the math says you only need 10 sources of white to...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

It seems like there is a lot of testing to be done to see if the 4 swords are necessary with the negators..I didnt feel that I would want to cut the creature count * especially shade* to increase...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

If I was to add a creature to this deck I would make sure it was in multiples of 4, or do a 3 and 1 *similair creatures like wretched anurid/rotting giant*. One of the decks powers is the ability to...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

The cabal pit is a nice touch but I just don't think the deck needs such a small targeted removal as that. It's worth testing because I wouldn't mind an answer to meddling mage in game two when I...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

@ Brightstroke: If you are running into problems against control I really think you are not playing the deck to its potential. This deck completely wrecks control, if you know your opponent is...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

With my experience with the deck now I think you would be fine going into a metagame like that. You have multiple good matchups i my opinion including landstill, iggy-pop, solidarity, and counter...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Shade isn't as hot as you think...most people will side in the needles to stop shade pumps. Yeah its nice, but in the early game they have to focus all their time disrupting you to make it an even...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Yeah I liked Kataki for a while. The only reason I decided not to put it in the final build is its not cumulative, meaning if you get stuck with more than one in hand and draw another you can't cast...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I would rather have something that fits into the curve a bit better, but this seems to give another outlet for your dead spells and land. To be honest though will a player have cards they want to...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I just had a full day of play testing the other day. I tested against Gro, Goblins, and Angel Stax.

The build I decided to run after testing:
    4x Duress
    4x Hymn to Tourach
    4x Sinkhole
    4x...

Re: [DTB] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I have just started playing this deck in legacy and found its results very powerful against grow and goblins along with any other DTB in the format. I have found a very fast upspring of Angel Stax...
