Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

It looks like crusader would be better served as a beater than grunt or avenger. Every creature in your list dies to bolt, path, stp, (except grunt) and you have very little to protect them outside...

    How does 16 to 20 bucks = 10 bucks?

<> $80 for 4 cards about to rotate seems pricey, especially when they spent over a year at $3-5

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Tim, do you think your t8 would have gone differently if you had 1x absolute law in the board? I also want a serenity for affinity/mud but you need to mull to it or a tutor cause you certainly can't...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I'm sorry, I was referring to the blanket offering of grunt for the deck as a whole. I think with tim's list, pretty much every creature you put out is a threat that needs to be dealt with. They...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I understand grunt's merits. I've used him before. There are plenty of times where the above scenarios play out, but also plenty of times where you're stalled in a ground war, or need to keep the...

There's your hate crimes thread on mtgs and then this thread. I don't think another one is needed. I think it's fine talking about it here as it put up results!

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

well you do have temporoary instant-speed discard/exile, and you have mom to protect them. This deck doesn't play like deadguy. It's something completely different. I like it.

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I want you to know my question wasn't hype-based. I know the card will see play and in some way will affect the format. Just wondering if it's been tested against. Seems bad in this deck due to...

With all this equipment, revokers, vials, now lands and opal, I fear we may be opening ourselves up to artifact hate.

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I think the question is what does this take care of that Perish doesn't? A swarm of goblins, fish, or affinity I'm guessing or a cheated emrakul? I think we have better answers (except for the...

Well For $70+ more, there better be a good reason to run thoughtseize over inquisition. Not only that, but my primary reason for asking was the lifeloss. So if thoughtseize is strictly better, then...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

You're acting like you have to cast grunt on the 3rd turn. In the above scenario you still have at least 5 cards in hand that all have a 3 or less casting cost that you can cast instead . I was...
