I kinda wish BR was more of a thing. I think mixing the two for some form of newer moon effect would be alright. Something like a mix between Magus and Contamination.

I don't know. Discarding a *basic* of that land type means that the only one that screams "busted" is the red one and *maybe* the white one. The red because it would speed up burn by a whole turn....

It's not Strixy enough since Strix is essentially a kill spell. I'd swap Lifelink for Indestructible or "Prevent all Combat Damage dealt to X" or similar. Strix is a wall of sorts.
