I was just thinking about sideboarding with the Bob/Petal list. Against grindy blue control decks, would you side out some/all petals?

Congrats on the great result, Whitefaces!
Between your and Tommy Ashton's lists, I like that you cut Liliana, the Last Hope from the sideboard. The card is obviously great against Miracles and...
What I find really interesting, is that there seem to be two schools of thought about how to play the deck. Some comments about cards like Counterbalance or Tombstalker mention that they don't...
So far, the SB plan with Bridges is untested. I don't think Bridge would have played well together with the TITIs I ran at the last event
I'm going to play a small tournament at a LGS on...
Just for the record: I tried out Thing in the Ice and it wasn't great. It's ok against decks like Eldrazi, but a real liability against control decks. Whitefaces suggested as much when we briefly...
Ensnaring Bridge is also on my short list of cards I want to try. I really liked it in the SB of Mentor Miracles, when all the Entreat lists were playing Moat against the then new Eldrazi deck.

Yesterday I tested Esper Phoenix at a local ~50 person event. I played the MD from Jarvis' stream and ended up at 5:1. Last Friday, I tested a version with 2 Daze and without Spell Pierce but 1...
What type of white sideboard cards do you mean? When I think about white, the first thing that comes to mind are hatebears. But both Canonist and Containment Priest hinder our own game plan. Removal...
We usually run a split. The stock slow lists have 3 Decays in the MD and 1-2 Trophy in the SB, Negator's BUG list has 2/2 in the SB. Sometimes, the uncounterability really is important. Also, while...
I'm not him, but here are two reasons:
1. There are situations in the late game where you don't have 4 mana to hardcast Snuff Out but also can't afford to pay 4 life. Dismember lets you manage that...
Our matchup against Delver is great anyway, so there shouldn't be a need for another SB card.
2 Bayous are fine. You can play Blooming Marsh or Llanowar Wastes over the 3rd Bayou. It's even possible to do well without duals at all: http://mtgtop8.com/event?e=19262&d=322137&f=LE ;)
The same guy also made Top8 at GP Madrid earlier this year: http://mtgtop8.com/event?e=18737&d=317153&f=LE
Well, 19-20 is the average amount of lands you often see. But those decks are Dragon Stompy and run Spirit Guides (we could run Lotus Petal) and Blood Moon to shut off Wasteland.
The amount of red cards after boarding is difficult to predict. If they've got Moons, they will be in the deck. If a Miracles or Blade opponent doesn't know your list, they might bring in Pyroblast...
For not letting people enter the tournament anymore: They said that the hall was full and they couldn't use one of the other rooms. But they want to make sure stuff like that won't happen again.

The payout wasn't undermined. The 310 player include people who earned byes at other tournaments but didn't show up to MKM Prague. They entered everyone to the WER and then dropped missing people...
I honestly don't know. The Therapy version is great against combo, but Stifle is better in the mirror and against those greedy Bant/Deathblade and Grixis Control decks. Personally, I prefer MD...
Storm is just a bad matchup for Delver decks with only blue disruption. In a metagame with a lot of Storm, I'd just play the Therapy version.
Basically this. Elves, Death & Taxes and random creature decks like Goblins. The only blue decks I bring it in against are Infect and possibly Merfolk. Against Infect your life points don't matter...
The problem with Stifle against Storm is that Stifle doesn't shut down their engine. They can still cast their Past in Flames and just flashback their discard spells before tutoring the Tendrils.
I agree. The Stifle lists with more Anglers and without Pyromancer feel pretty strong. After you mentioned JPA's list in one of your articles, I tried out his main deck last weekend and got a 5:0 in...
I'd prefer a cantrip over the 2nd Bolt. But I usually keep most hands with at least 2 lands.
Markus Paluch played Grixis Delver with Stifle.
It was pretty interesting to watch the replay of our match from your side ;)
I definitely got lucky in G1, your draws in the midgame were just horrible. Usually it’s really in favor of Miracles,...
