    Re: Strongest 4 Drops

Thx everyone, lots to try! Helm and aluren seem like some of the most explosive options. Might try something like this:

    4 Wooded Foothills
    4 Prismatic Vista
    2 Snow-Covered Forest
    3 Bayou

    Strongest 4 Drops

So, question...if you're using Eladamari's Vineyard to ramp into a 4 drop on turn 2 what are the strongest options? I'm open to 3/5 drop thoughts if they've got a strong case for being the focus of...
  6. Re: Chateauneuf-du-Pat AOC (Eladamri's Vineyard/Turntimber Symbiosis/Eureka)

Ended up with lots of 3-2/2-3 results plus one 1-4 with budget GU versions. The play pattern in the cantrip deck meant sand bagging vineyards quite often if your opener is missing things which isn't...

Re: Unplayable Chunderbucket Pile (but with chalice)

This looks strong but I'd go RG and run blood sun over leyline (or moon if the mana could work). Or just piper over leyline, the redundancy > the protection since it helps vs bolt etc. too. I'd...
  8. Re: Chateauneuf-du-Pat AOC (Eladamri's Vineyard/Turntimber Symbiosis/Eureka)

3-2 in my first league since the token ended with the budget version of Châteauneuf-du-Pat, so Vineyard is 7-3 in legacy currently . It's the only mtgo deck I own so I'll be tinkering with it....

    Re: Keruga Stompy

If we're considering non-eldrazi 5 drops then Elder Gargaroth is high on my list. Pretty skeptical on 5+ drops though when we've got options like karn, Thought-Knot Seer, and ceratops at 4.

    Re: Keruga Stompy

I agree, I think people realise now that the 8 spirit guide shell is strong. I think this list could use 1-2 gemstone too. I've been considering a UR list with 8 forces, 8 spirit guides, and 4...
  11. Re: Chateauneuf-du-Pat AOC (Eladamri's Vineyard/Turntimber Symbiosis/Eureka)

Thx! Sounds like uro/oko could be gone soon and I believe you can't put in the walker side of valki off Eureka. I'll try my new version next week .
  12. Chateauneuf-du-Pat AOC (Eladamri's Vineyard/Turntimber Symbiosis/Eureka)

I almost never play on mtgo, but I tried a lot of decks when I had the token recently. One deck which went well (4-1) was this one built around abusing Eladamri's Vineyard and to a lesser extent...

    Re: [Deck] Bant

I feel like this deck has a lot of tools to beat turbo valki and compete with the other brainstorm midrange decks.

    Something like this:

    4 force of will
    1 Pithing Needle
    3 T3feri
    3 Lavinia,...

Re: Curse Stompy (Demon Stompy Reborn)

If tibber's is here for good, should Necromentia return to the deck? Possibly unmask too to get more turn 1 interaction.

Arkhan just won the legacy challenge with this.

  18. Re: BlueStew.net - A Random Blue Midrange Generator

I agree with this too, just think it's not the only reason. Wotc's infamous tweet on brainstorm being a pillar of the format wasn't random, it was because people rly like it even though it's...
  19. Re: BlueStew.net - A Random Blue Midrange Generator

I think it's probably both of these points across different cards with a sizable chunk of just blissful ignorance on how good some of these things will end up being thrown in. Magic is complicated...

Re: In Search of Gre...Positive WR%

Curse of Misfortunes wins on its own pretty well. Never tried qargaroth but seems like it could just win. Might not be good enough on its own though but it is a draw engine when it's not enough. ...

    In Search of Gre...Positive WR%

So the idea is to abuse the new in search of greatness card with leylines. Leyline of Abundance md with void in the SB. Karn/helm r very pricey on mtgo so now that the token is gone I've excluded...

    BUG Shared Fate

So I tried my WGU version on the Quinn thread and it went OK but switching to BUG now since leyline of the void works well with uro. Still tinkering...thoughts welcome!
