I would say no. And even if you did want to splash white, would this creature really be better than Dream Stalker who doesn't target? Granted it has flash, but Aluren gives all your creatures flash.

This could be Sedraxis Alchemist. I used it to great success in my build, but I was running raven familiar's so satisfying the blue requirement was fairly easy for me.
You might consider throwing in the Natural Order combo in the sideboard. It's a great strategy that fits the curve and can throw your opponent for a loop.
Also, I don't know if 20 lands is...

I would make the following changes to your list:
4x Misty Rainforest
4x Verdant Catacombs
3x Underground Seas
4x Tropical Island
2x Bayou
1x Swamp
besides chain of vapor you also have:
Harmonic Sliver
Sedraxis Alchemist
Stern Procter
Pernicious Deed
Krosan Grip
...
If that happens you continue to play your flyers (Cavern Harpy, Raven Familiar, etc etc) and attack.
This is basically the strategy you would have to rely upon if you were playing the mirror.
What about the simple fact that Recruiter is basically a dead draw before Aluren hits the table. Nothing else in the deck is a dead draw.
With Harpy you can bounce a familiar or man o war to play...
I advocate moving the list away from Recruiters. Recruiters stream-line the combo, and are great when aluren hits the table. But they encourage bad manabases and are dead draws pre-aluren.
For a...
I have a question concerning your list Nonex. Whats it do about Goblins? I personally predict that goblins will go back on the rise now that we are in July. And the fact that your list runs all...
To this day I am still baffled why people think they need recruiters to pilot this deck. Toad, one of the first "innovators" of this deck abandoned the idea of using Imperial Recruiter ages ago. I...
Brain Freeze had been run as an alternate win in the past, but it was determined that by the time you get aluren in play and cavern harpy, you are pretty much set to win anyway. So whether you brain...
Sorry but I disagree that Imperial Recruiters make the deck better.
Against decks like goblins, your recruiters will rarely stay in play for long (too easy to kill). Also having to play a...
I personally do not understand the obsession with Imperial Recruiters in this deck. I had extensively tested and then abandoned recruiters as unneeded a year before mr. inovator became inspired. ...
If you want to speed the deck up some, then I would suggest considering things like Elvish Spirit Guide and Lotus Petals in addition too or inplace of City of Traitors.
Familiars also provide more draw pre-aluren, recruiters do not. I do not see how recruiter is better vs. hate. Aluren did not have any serious issues with targeted creature hate without recruiter. ...
I'll be honest, though I'm sure many disagree with me, the biggest weakness of your deck, is the reliance on Imperial Recruiter. Yes it streamlines the combo, but the problem is, recruiter is a bad...
I like your first list the most, obviously
It's interesting about your comments concerning deed. A friend of mine who also plays aluren came to the same conclusion and replaced forces...
I don't understand why people are still going gaga over recruiter-aluren rather than any other build. Yes the recruiters make the combo more streamlined and consistent. But it makes it a weaker...
The problem with Chant is it requires you to run a shoddy manabase w/ your fourth color. That, in my opinion, is the biggest reason I gave up on imperial recruiters 2 years ago. If you consider the...
