    Re: [Deck] Blade Control

Is UWr still a viable baseline for this deck? I've been out of the game for almost a year, and that's all I have built right now. Looking to take it to some smaller local tournaments for fun. I could...

Sticky: Re: Weekly 1.5 tournaments - Where's yours?

Anybody know of a good place in Charlotte, NC to play? I go there periodically for work, I'd be happy to play any format really. It beats sitting around in the hotel by myself doing nothing each...

Could this be a record for "fewest blue cards in a Legacy GP top 8"?

    Re: [GP] Denver - Jan 5-6, 2013

I can't decide if I'm thrilled or sad to see this. I'd put Chains into my Jund deck about a month ago and was loving it, hoped nobody else would give it a try on a big level. Now the cat's out of the...

Re: Anyone still play legacy in Albany, Ny?

I vouch for this. Though I am only able to show up about once a month or so, it's always pretty competitive with a good spread of decks. It's in Stillwater, we always love to see new faces.

    Re: [Deck] Bant

I agree with this. I guess a better way of putting my previous sentiment is that I'm not sure how to improve Merfolk. I actually tend to beat RUG almost every time, and Maverick is around 50-50.

    Re: [Deck] Bant

The problem is that they don't really crush Merfolk as much as they used to. Too many Lords Island-walking, Batterskull life-gain isn't enough. Sword of Fire & Ice used to be great, but 2 damage is...

    Re: [Deck] Bant

    Good luck this week!

I altered my list a bit the night before after a bunch of playtesting and theory discussion with some really good players. We decided that the main problem with the deck as-is...

    Re: [Deck] Bant

Getting ready for SCG Buffalo, gonna run this deck. I don't want to post my list right now just in case, but I'll try to write something up afterwards.

    Re: [Deck] Bant

Damn, too bad man. I do see that looking at the coverage page that 5 Bant decks made day 2, maybe it's picking up.

Yeah, Elves has always been really rough on me. Even if I spend the first 3 turns...

    Re: [Deck] Bant

I don't think so, I'd bring in Perish against Elves, Maverick, and RUG.

Regarding tonight, I didn't do so hot, but I don't think I had a very representative slate of games. Went 2-2, losing to...

    Re: [Deck] Bant

I've tested both of those, I just hate going with Llawan since she really is only good against 1 deck. EE is definitely viable, but I'm just running out of room. I'm going to a smaller local...

    Re: [Deck] Bant

I've also been considering dropping the NO package. My main thought process here is that it's only really really good against Maverick, just speeds up my clock against other "fair" decks. But I'm...

Not identical but close. Lord of Atlantis buffs your opponent's creatures too, this guy is only your own.

Re: Tell Drew Levin what to play tomorrow!

Didn't exactly reneg, just not possible to play the deck without the cards. I imagine that he could have found them somewhere, but from what I read on twitter, he tried pretty hard to find them.

    Re: [GP] Atlanta (Legacy format)

Holy crap this is sooner than I thought... Thought it was late August for some reason. I'd love to make this but I don't see any way I'd find the time.

    Re: [Deck] Bant

I like the list, and I think I agree with Chicken about replacing the Jittes. I think that you should go up to 4 GSZ. Ooze and Knight go a long way towards crushing RUG. RUG pretty much will only win...

    Re: [Deck] Bant

I like the first list quite a bit, there are only a couple things I don't really like. I don't think you want 3 Cliques or 3 Jaces. I'm more ok with 3 Jaces than 3 Cliques though since it's such a...

    Re: [Deck] Bant

Yeah I agree, Mother can be nuts against many decks out there. I'm not saying she should never be in the deck, mainly a metagame call. I agree that this deck does survive better after a resolved...

    Re: [Deck] Bant

    Hey that's my list

I agree with the general summary you made of the deck at the top. I also ended up thinking that the Mothers weren't the right call. They're better in a heavy RUG meta...

    Re: [Deck] Bant

Seems ok, though having no idea what to do for RUG and "give up" for Maverick I think is a bad thing. These decks are still out in force, and you'd have to be very lucky to not play them a few times...

    Re: [Deck] Bant

It looks pretty good. Different than mine, but seems fine. A few minor points I'd look into:
I think that you want access to Maze of Ith, preferably in the main. RUG can deal with it decently, but...

    Re: [DECK] Mankind

Yeah, my sentence at the end showed my thoughts on that topic. I do agree that Knight is one of the best cards to be playing in legacy, I just didn't see any other green cards that seemed worth being...

    Re: [DECK] Mankind

I like what you're doing here, but I'll add my two cents with some suggestions. I think that the best thing about Noble Heirarch is that he lets you ramp to 3 mana on turn 2. The only thing you can...

    Re: [Deck] Bant

I agree with you anwei, though I think it might have to take a heavier blue load than I've been using lately. Griselbrand is for real, and any deck has to have a response for him to succeed now....
