On the attack, I agree. I think where TNN can really shine is as an indestructable blocker that's very likely big enough to kill whatever it blocks.

I can definitely understand the appeal. With all the 3+ color decks in legacy, your opponent is likely to have to give Cosi's at least +2/+2

I was all opposed to Master until reading this - I hadn't considered any of those. Thanks!

    Re: [Deck] Merfolk

This is a good point and not something that I'd considered or experienced before. Just this thought will make me consider pulling them out or at least reducing the number.

    I'll be very interested...

    Re: [Deck] Merfolk

Jitte still seems fine in the side to me. Its ability to kill small creatures is relavent in many matchups, and its ability to do so while dodging mother of runes is certainly relavent in the...

I've always wanted to play Waterfront Bouncer in 'folk but I've never found room to put him in? What did you remove (both MB and SB) for him?

    Re: [Deck] Merfolk

Other tribes get an overpowered lord. Merfolk get an over-powered number of lords.

Also gets around the opposing players Llwan. Perhaps a sideboard slot in case you think they're packing the Empress?

    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

I've used Back to Basics pretty extensively in my sideboard. It doesn't completely wreck any deck, but anything multi-colored (especially 3+ colors) really suffers when you drop it while they have a...

    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

    Yea, it's pretty rough.

I'm trying Uw 'folk out with P2E main and Absolute Law SB to attempt to make the matchup a little better.

I'm runnign UG at the moment - Green for 'goyf in the deck and Nature's Claim in the SB against Survival. (Also has turned out to be useful against the Jitte)

    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

Generally because there's just not enough room given all the gas that merfolk has.

You've listed 40 cards. Add in 16 lords (or 12 lords + 4 silvergill adept) and 4 cusecatcher and you're already...

    Re: [DTB] Merfolk

His logic suffers a pretty terrible breakdown, IMO

    He says in that artcile:

Okay, fair enough, maybe UG is better than we think because so many people play it.

    Merfolk is the most popular...
