Closer to a Modern card, but also possible combat trick in legacy?

    Re: [Deck] Merfolk

Abrupt decay laughs at it. Maybe a meta choice, e.g. against Moat.

    Re: [Deck] Merfolk

TC is a straightly 3-for-1, so pepole did't play "situational" 3-for-1 like AV or standstill when TC flooded the format.

Now TC is gone. IMO standstill is a playable card again.

Almost every deck which plays Bob, also plays shaman. Can't expect opponent lose 3+ life during their own turn.

    Re: [Deck] Merfolk

Yep. When a merfolk player could devote Thassa into a creature, usually he is already have a good board situation. Obvious a win-more card.

Thassa does not die to Decay...but other merfolks do. It...

Cosi's Trickster is just another Bloodhall Ooze. Have be seen some Modern play, but too "situational" in Legacy, and a dead topdeck.

Is Progenifish a poor design? Yes.

    A boring card? Yes.

    Banned-level power?No.

Too "passive", and narrow. Hexproof cannot stop boardswipe and sacrifice.

Against usual remove spells ,just to side in more counters would be better. And we all used to have Kira in sideboard.

4 images are an obivious “Tnn-creep” choice. Such configulation has worse synergy with every other merfolk, except Tnn. I would never cut reejery for that.

What is the reason to choose Aquetect's will over Spreading seas?

Maybe the "extraordinary" number of creatures, could bring higher chance to ensure having a merfolk on board.
