    Re: [Primer/Deck] Burn

Glad to see some discussion on here. I, for one, am pretty excited to start testing these new cards. Since the banning, I've been pretty tempted to move Price of Progress to the sideboard, at least...

    Re: [Primer/Deck] Burn

I took down a nineteen person tournament at my LGS this past weekend. Five rounds of Swiss, then cut to top eight.

Round 1: Matt on Punishing Jund (2/1)
Round 2: Gabe on Burn (2/1)
    Round 3: Ed...

What does everyone think of this list? Deflecting Palm out of the board with a single Plateau in the main. Spicy.

    Re: [Primer/Deck] Burn

Whether or not you agree with the recent banning of Sensei's Divining Top, it is quite possible that Burn is well positioned in the new meta-game. At the very least, we can probably free up some side...

    Hey, schtormy,

Thanks for reading my post. Don't get me wrong, I love Sulfuric Vortex, but I feel like whether I run it main-deck or in the sideboard, or not at all, is dependent on the meta-game....

    Re: [Primer/Deck] Burn

I agree with you. Death Taxes definitely has quite a few ways of dealing with Ensnaring Bridge. Maybe this was a mistake, but I felt like Ensnaring Bridge might be better than some number of Eidolon...

    Hello, everyone,

It has been a while since I've last posted in this thread, but I thought I'd share my recent tournament results with y'all. I've been off Burn for the last year or so since I...

I've also cut Sulfuric Vortex for Exquisite Firecraft and I think it might be a good idea. Considering Miracles is playing Wear // Tear and Monastery Mentor, Exquisite Firecraft seems like a better...

    Re: [Primer/Deck] Burn

Because of Miracles' prevalence in the meta-game right now, I'm curious what everybody is doing to combat this match-up. I was watching Joe Lossett's stream the other day and he mentioned that Legacy...

    Re: [Primer/Deck] Burn

While it is always important to consider your metagame, Eidolon of the Great Revel was one of the printings that helped Burn become a competitive strategy. I wouldn't go to a larger Legacy tournament...

I'm currently playing four Exquisite Firecraft in the sideboard. My problem with Vexing Shusher is that I feel like the card is most effective when utilized the turn it comes into play because of how...

    Re: [Primer/Deck] Burn

I like loading up on Searing Blaze and Searing Blood. The Searing effects really help shore up a great deal of match-ups. I'd also suggest running Exquisite Firecraft For Miracles.

    I'm curious...

I've been cutting Fireblast because I feel like sacrificing mountains can make it difficult to play around soft counters.

    Re: [Primer/Deck] Burn

For the people testing Exquisite Firecraft, are you boarding it in against anything other than Counterbalance? It seems like it might be worth bringing in against Delver decks as well.

I don't think I like running more than one copy of Sensei's Divining Top. I would never want an opening hand with two Tops and I'd like to keep the deck as consistent as possible.

It's nice to see the deck doing well.

I just came across an interesting list from a Grand Prix Kyōto Trial. The single copy of Sensei's Divining Top interests me. Has anyone tested this...

I haven't been seeing much Wasteland on SCG coverage recently. If you're going to splash, now seems like a great opportunity.

There was a guy in my play group running two Taigas and Destructive Revelry in the board. If I was facing Leyline of Sanctity everyday, I would probably run something similar.

    I also agree that...
