I'd prefer another creature that could save a creature of mine, such as the bounce fairy Quickling. Note: having one in hand and one on the field = infinite block a single creature.

I must ask, if we run AEther Vial, not drawing it turn 1 and drawing it later is terrible. I am using 4 Tidal Warriors and 4 Spreading Seas, running the 22-land version and it seems more controlling...
