Ok, the previous decklist was bad. Impending disaster is not good. Opponents can mostly choose when it's triggered so they get the advantage. I will also maindeck chalices.

I kinda like the white choices, but stoneforge just seems weak; very hard to activate with the manabase. Canonist belongs more in sideboard. I think if you're going white you should also be going...
I'm going to try impending disasters tomorrow; I'll try 3. The red deck with 4 magus of the moons seems very strong. A uncounterable blood moon straight up wins games. Being able to lock the game...
I personally run 4 cavern of souls as it is the nuts against most decks. I also run 2 ports, 4 wastelands, 3 buried ruins and the usual sol lands. I've also decided on not running revokers, not sure...
This.
I'm going to shift my threat focus into 3 staff of nin, 4 wurmcoil, 2 batterskull, 2 karn, 2 hellkite and 2 metamorphs. (In addition to the usual 4 lodestones). I'm noticing that most decks...
You are correct. I misread the card. Makes it much worse.
Lodestones are awesome. I play 2 metamorphs also maindeck and there's no better feeling locking a player out with two lodestones and a well placed wasteland. I would not play the deck without 4...
I think the mana cost is a major issue; you really need to cast it with 2-3 mana open otherwise you defeat the purpose of playing it. I liked Grim Poppet so much because it allows you to have a major...
I like that you are offering many different versions of the deck; the list of possible sideboards was also great. I'm strongly considering maindecking grim poppets as it seems great against Maverick...
Have you played any tournaments with this version? I've top8 (2 finals) with the more average stompy version 5 times. I'm trying to figure out the true power level of the deck. For me it just seems...
A lot of interesting/wierd builds going on. Not entirely sure on how powerful those decks are. My main concern is on the minor adjustments making the deck tier1. Currently the most difficult matchups...
Made 3-4th at a local tournament with the above list except two citadels were buried ruins.
Matchups:
UR delver - Chalice x=1 and fast threats ended both games fast
UW miracles - staff of nin...
I've been thinking about the different lands, I like having a out against active crucible +wasteland but I have to admit that in a longer game buried ruin would also be good. I might try one. Factory...
21 Lands
4 Wasteland
4 Cavern of souls
4 City of traitors
4 Ancient Tomb
2 Rishadan Port
3 Darksteel Citadel
19 Threats
4 Wurmcoil Engine
So I've played some 10 or so legacy tournaments with MUD (various versions) and top8 4 times with two victories (all of these with stompy). The most consistent build for me is the Stompy version. I...
So, what do you guys think of Staff of Nin? I've also strongly considered the blue splash for thoughtcast since what this deck needs the most is draw.
I've been brainstorming quite a bit recently...
Came 3rd at a 18 person GP trial-Ghent in Finland with the following list:
4x City of Traitors
4x Ancient Tomb
4x Wasteland
4x Darksteel Citadel
4x Cavern of Souls
2x Crucible of Worlds
3x...
