    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Thanks! Yeah, I was able to get really ahead in the match once BUG let one of the lock pieces in.

As for Aggro Loam, yeah, I think I cut some of the chalices but not all, though I sort of...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

I played a 4 round this weekend with the list in the previous post, and went 2-2, not too bad!
Matches were Eldrazi (0-2), 12 Post (2-0), Aggro Loam (1-2) and Team America (2-1).

    Since I'm...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Cool, thanks a bunch for both write ups, Rikter and Stuart!
Maybe I'll try keeping them both, possibly the Angel on sideboard I guess then since Infect is more occasional, rather than mostly every...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Hey guys, I've been meaning to come back to this archetype, and bought some cards to complete the deck, mostly Ugin, and the Platinum brothers.
What is the advantages of Platinum Angel vs Emperion...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Qasali goes in any deck with GW including Maverick, Loam, Bant anything. It's not just zoo, even though, truth it is the deck is nearly gone.

I really like Witchbane Orb. It's not as effective, but it does protect you from Discards and useful vs some combos too.

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

-Is there any situation in which you'd wish Sphere were Trinisphere? I always thought Trini was better at the early game, as it paves the way from counters at, say, turn 2 plays, when starting...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Welder is a nasty way to cheat creatures on board. Allied to Metalworker that's two threats to worry about if you're the control deck.

    Some neat plays:
-Supposing you discard an artifact land,...

But that's because you don't run Trinisphere :)

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

I liked running Faithless Loothing (instead of gamble - it just make MUD even more random than it already is) on g1. Goes excellent with Goblin Welder. Then, of course, they go both out if you side...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

The list sound good, however I think Chalice and Welder dont usually go together. I used to swap them during sideboarding , so that people wasted slots bringing graveyard hate and id get responses...

    [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Well, maybe you can try running Crystal Vein.. Or cavern of souls for Golems or Constructs. I dont think wasteland is a must have tool, even though, its more a thing of prefference. Its just that...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

I haven't played MuD in a while but when I did it was the Welder version with Chalice on the sideboard, so the focus was to combo more quickly game one and be more reactive game two, so all or most...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Extirpate gotta respond to the triggered ability of BC getting shuffled. The ability is countered because Blightsteel is removed from the game by the time it resolves.

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Is the reason of you preferring Dynamo Thran over Grim Monolith because you proabbly plan on eventually playing a X=2 Chalice of Void?

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Metalworker is a great pitch for FOW. It's funny because most of the time Metalworkers never show up and you win the games anyway, but he's like a great "fear of" element, I've seen people hold out...
