New God Bolas + Jace, Cunning Castaway is truly a thing of beauty after seeing it in action on the WAR preview streams - uptick Bolas, next turn, copy Bolas, uptick both copies, next turn, duplicate...

Full arts of the JP WAR walkers

More art variety would be great. I miss that part from Magic. They also brought back RKF for the Gideon Spellbook art of the Blackblade, so maybe there's hope:

Wouldn't be surprising if they put those on Arena as promos/paid skins to entice different demographics.

WAR Walkers get anime tiddies promo versions

Art-wise, they're a mixed bag - some are better, some are worse (what the fuck is wrong with that Bolas?). Gotta love that Amano (the Final Fantasy...

    Re: War of the Spark

Nope, the Eternals have some kind of special ability that harvests the spark of the user on touch, killing the Planeswalker in the process. That was the preparation for the Elder Spell that allowed...

If I remember the spoilers correctly (which also spoiled Domri's death and how Gideon died), then Liliana is almost back to oldwalker powers for some reason and then fucked off.

    Domri died by...

Why not run something that actually wins the game, like JTMS or the new God Bolas, as a finisher?

    Re: War of the Spark

They don't care about the "old guard", as you call it. WotC needs sales to balance out Hasbro's fuck-ups. Good sets sale, bad ones don't.

The main problem with R&D was that they had their heads...

With the current direction they're going, Horizon looks promising. Power level has increased quite a bit ever since DOM (aka the first set the playtesting team got their hands on), and since the...

    SPOILERS

At least they could have killed more named walkers. They introduce all those "Literally who?" walkers, and in the end, only Gideon, Dack and Domri die. And Ugin prevents Bolas from...

Soul Diviner should work pretty well with Aether Vial - both are cheap, Vial is good on its own and it can generate excess counters to feed to the Diviner. A deck like this doesn't exist yet, but...

Good find. :1:: Draw a card is pretty decent, but then you're running an aura. :really:

As for combos, Glen Elendra Archmage might be interesting in that regard to set up a soft lock.

Aside from decks that run Crop Rotation, KotR decks might also benefit from this (although the mana dorks/Mums are going to be collateral damage).

One thing worth pointing out is that Finale of Promise fulfills the 3 spells requirement of Arclight Phoenix if you target both instant and sorcery.
