Anyone else testing RUG? It has felt pretty good for me so far. In my local meta the only thing i feel like i get worse against is SNT. Everything else it feels super good against!

speaking of new lands tho.. When will they finish the cycle and give us Sanctum Ruins?!?!
I think that a little too cute. Extra gravehate is good to have in the board. I like surgical the most. Leyline feels greedy to me. I like tormods if I'm playing rug.
this is what my list currently looks like. With the heavy meta shift i went back to a more basic list before i try something cute.
Maindeck (60)
4 Crop Rotation
4 Gamble
4 Life from the Loam
3...
I have played against goblins and dnt alot. Goblins isn't a bad matchup you just have to keep lackey under control. dnt is pretty free if you just go long with them, vortex absolutely crushes them...
That would be interesting.. I would find it difficult to find the cuts for the black splash tho although deluge would be spicy as hell! Frirespout is there when i don't have a significant land...
I have been playing this to much success lately! Feels good all around.
-Main
4 Crop Rotation
3 Gamble
3 Burning Wish
3 Life from the Loam
2 Punishing Fire
4 Mox Diamond
4 Exploration
Funny you say that i'm swagging my deck out with foils and alters! XD
New names!! I'm one of them. I just started playing MTG again recently. I use to play a fastbond cow deck and my friend turned me onto lands! Learning the deck and having a blast jamming local event...
you can also tap grove to get pfire back while split second is on the stack and your opponent cant interact with the trigger.
This runs into the same issue. You need a target for an aura and since they come into play at the same time you cannot target what they are bringing in with show and tell.
I was on revoker. It was good but there is alot of D&T at my local meta since Vegas so i moved to Sulfer Elemental.
I'm going to have to side with ports. I understand that GQ can do alot of damage if they are out of basics but port shuts them off of mana right now. We are weak to combo and buying us a turn is...
This is where i'm at with my list.. any thoughts, advice?
//Artifact (1)
1 Engineered Explosives
//Creature (11)
2 Balful Strix
4 Deathrite Shaman
2 Leovold, Emissary of Trest
3 Snapcaster...
I've been considering a list very similar to this.ever consider running another loam, stonghold, and dark depths, stage as alt finisher?
I think volraths stronghold is a must if you are still running loam.
Okaybso I've been trying to get some feedback on this with no good reception. Imo bug is the best color combination. Giving you access to disruption, cantrips, counter magic, and creatures like...
I see people talking about "goodstuff" and I have been milling this around in my head lately. What about a bug list? It would almost be like bug control with a depths finisher. Bug imo just has the...
Oh oops I meant bug! Lol
My thoughts here are you loose speed but gain some other outs. Almost like bug control with depths. I have no idea if this would work but I feel it could be quite strong.
I play lands but I've been thinking rug depths might be really strong. Any thoughts here?
I've been seeing alot of lists running ancient tomb. Is this effective after playtesting? Are we shifting towards that and 2 manabond lists?
Idk that it would work either.. The thought behind it is that it leo just slows your opponent immensely. then again it may just be trying to do to much.
splash of black, entomb instead of gamble, volrath's stronghold, and leovold? thoughts?
