It's stupid because:
1. everyone going along with this "this ban everything that moves" with no good reason mentality is the reason things get attention which is the reason thing get banned.
2. BS...
If you want to play 3C TES Defense grid is very good against them.
As stated in the posts above more often then not Xantid swarm will get removed before it even gets an attack.
+1.
IGG will indeed be better against non blue decks but the card is awsome when you are at low life total and playing against a blue deck. 1 copy Maindeck and 1 in the wishboard seems about right.
This card is just what 3C TES needed. Need to have a korean foil one :P.
The thing about defense grid is that it doesn't always combine well with duress/TS, it works wonders with chant effects though.
The whole 'training wheels' thing is a reference to quote in the video on page 110.
Even if you had not made your landdrop jet I would always use ponder first. Depending on the game situation/cards you see I would perhaps wait with playing your brainstorm until next turn (so you can...
So you would cut Xantid swarms because they can be countered? This is rediculous, xantid swarm is still by far the best protection against merfolks . Let's put it this way: would you rather have a...
I'm actually convinced that at this point there is very little left to talk about.
Everything that should be discussed has already been discussed and thoroughly tested and all the info is already...
I'm playing chant as a 4-off because I never see any leylines in my meta. I think however if I was going to play in an unknow meta I would probably opt for a 2-2 split.
+1. Lion's eye is irreplaceable. The only budget change you could make in this deck is replacing chants with silences.
True but it does little against a mix of artifact and non-artifact hatebears. If there are only artifacts Pulverize or shatt spree will do the job.
Still I think pyroclasm does remain a meta call as...
It's a nuisance but you see it coming (unlike MB trap) and isn't even always relevant. I don't care to much about it.
+1, Still the list is also very good.
On Hitman's list: why would you swap the number of duresses and TS in your maindeck? Most of the time during game 1 I would rather have a duress then a TS in...
Indeed. The only situation you could pull it off is one where you don't need your LED's anyway. For instance burning wish with 4 mana float. Very anti-synergetic but still the best option.
IGG is better than Etw in the storm mirror and against vengevine.
same here. The card you dig deeper can mean the world somethimes.
EtW is also very good against counterbalance decks, but I guess these days you wont see many of those anymore. But like Lebron Jim said it's a meta call.
Unfortunately that's true.
Not the best hate card imo. E.canonist is better for obvious reasons.
ow ok I hadn't noticed the EE, then the situation was very bad indeed.
@ waikiki: first of all congratz on you're result! I also played 3C TES going 4-2 (losing a game to a stupid mistake).
I have a question about your 2nd game in the quarter finals against thopther...
It also doesn't stop mindbreak trap (although that shouldn't be too relevant anymore).
