    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

Haha no. Just busy working on some flight dynamics, so haven't been paying too much attention to magic right now. Rest assured I'll become more active soon.

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

This is interesting Seraphus. The funny thing is that I always felt that Silent Requiem's 19-20 lands made "builded combo" easier, even though he plays "pure combo". You don't have to use your...

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

Wow. I'm going to buy my playsets of MM and Visions of Beyond then. The SF Bay Area meta was very good for MM, and though it might have adapted a bit, I doubt it will have changed too much post MM....

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

I'd given up on Solidarity because I will never be able to afford FOW. However, with the printing of MM and Flusterstorm, it might be possible for me to play a decent budget version.

    So, I want to...

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

I didn't realize that. This does look like a good card, though same as you, I don't see any need to play Intuition.

Yeah it's the non-blue aggro decks running MM that I'm worried about. But...

    Re: [SCD] Mental Misstep

IBA I have a question for you. What is the following card best in?

    Ghostbolt
    1
    Sorcery
Ghostbolt deals 3 damage to target player.

    Re: [SCD] Gitaxian Probe

A combo hoser for 2-life would be way overpowered. Mental Misstep is good enough imo.

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

You sure? Noxious revival right? That seems to have the same problem as Mystical Tutor did: card disadvantage. Still, I suppose with the newfound draw power of the wishless build, it might not be a...

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

Certainly, we can play around it. It merely makes it a bit more difficult for us to win. However, the thing is that if the card might see widespread play. When you think about the decks that might...

    Re: Slow play and thinking

The one thing I'm wonder though is this: what if my opponent plays several complicated permanents (perhaps non-English), and I want to understand the game-state and think what options the opponent...

Agreed. O-Ring and Maelstrom Pulse are definitely superior.

    Re: [SCD] Mental Misstep

The more I think about it the more I agree. This is going to heavily change (no certainly not break) the format. But I think it'll be a change for the better.

    Edit:

    That's great against...

    Re: [SCD] Mental Misstep

I don't think it'll be banned. It'll become another FoW.

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

The big strength that it misstep has is that it is good on the draw (just like FoW). Duress, Thoughtseize, and Inquisition just don't have that.

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

I agree that it is probably not that good in Solidarity. I meant to say "I don't think the tempo loss we cause is worth not having a business spell."

However, I think you underestimate the...

Re: The Realest Look at Legacy Deck Costs

A healthy meta should have at minimum 1/5th of the decks running Force of Will (do you want Spanish Inquisition wiping out the meta?). That makes a capacity for 500k good decks. Which is two orders...

    Re: [SCD] Mental Misstep

I'm worried that the price is going to go through the roof. A playset of Goyfs is over $250 and this is going to be more widely used.

Re: The Realest Look at Legacy Deck Costs

There are probably significantly less than 100k playsets of Force of Will in existence: http://www.starcitygames.com/magic/finance/21257_Ten_Predictions_For_Magic_In_2011_And_Beyond_Part_2.html

    So...

    Re: [SCD] Mental Misstep

I mean this is so insane. True, FoW can hit anything. However, this card does not have card disadvantage and does not require blue. Hello free counters. I suppose it might be a good thing if it slows...

Re: The Realest Look at Legacy Deck Costs

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

Don't forget one of our worst enemies: SDT. This looks highly situational yet highly powerful. When I think about it, there'll be few games where your opponent doesn't play a 1 cost spell, but I...
