    Re: [Primer] Nic Fit

Awesome; what would you change to dragonfit if you had all the cards you needed? I want to give it a go some time soon at a local weekly.

Stryfo: Just wondering if you're still playing Dragon Fit, or if you've moved more towards a BUG Planeswalkers list with an intuition / loam package.

    Re: [Primer] Nic Fit

Ran Sneak Fit in a weekly last night to a record of 1-2-1 but felt that both of my losses were due to misplays that (in hindsight) were pretty obviously bad on my part.

    Round 1 I beat Miracles...

    Re: [Primer] Nic Fit

You absolutely should build in a way that suits your preferences and play style, but in my own experience Nic Fit can handle more than 1 six-drop with very little in the way of problems. The second...

    Ralf:

I don't think you can call a Nic Fit list 'pox-style' if you are going to dismiss card advantage. At its core, Pox is built to bury an opponent under card advantage - recursive threats,...

    Re: [Primer] Nic Fit

I have no experience with the deck (still on the Sneak Train for now / not enough blue duals in paper), but I put together a draft of it for eventual testing that ran 3 dragons instead of two -...

Has anyone else put any more thought or development into this list recently? It looked pretty fun.

Congrats on the great run! Could you describe your games against Storm and how you stabilized vs. Loam if you get a chance?

Whenever I give something other than Sneak a try, I'm going to have a...

    Re: [Primer] Nic Fit

I didn't say YOU had to run hymn, just that it's a legitimate option in straight GB Nic Fit. It's not like everyone is running 5 nonbasics, and most of us are running Veteran Explorers + Cabal...

    Re: [Primer] Nic Fit

It's not so hard to have BB for the matchups where you actually care about having hymn. It's a subpar card against value.dec but can wreck storm, show and tell, or some other bizarre combo. Those are...

    Re: [Primer] Nic Fit

    1. Hymn is SO good in a straight GB list if you can turn the corner quickly (Tracker or Dark Depths)

    2. Thrun isn't as strong as he appears against Miracles. You can't assume you'll have two...

    Re: [Primer] Nic Fit

As always, I agree with most of what you said here. Even then, I'm still going to fiddle around with a crop rotation. It's been kicking around this forum for weeks and the people playtesting it...

    Re: [Primer] Nic Fit

^^ This. Also depends on what version of Miracles you're against, and your play style. I personally would name Entreat or Mentor if I knew what build my opponent was on. If I don't know, then it gets...

How have you liked the moons generally?

Worth noting that 12-post is a better match for SneakFit than most Fits. The look on an opponent's face when they show and tell and you drop in Sneak Attack...

    Re: [Updated Primer] Nic Fit

1 Chameleon Colossus in a format defined by Swords and Terminus isn't exactly a plethora of evasive finishers. I guess I just feel like you have to draw perfectly to beat Miracles.

    I love the...

I like the eye towards consistency and resiliency in your deck construction, for sure, but I guess I just disagree about the idea of running ramp alongside low impact cards and situational / virtual...

Could you explain your rationale behind removing so much of Nic Fit's card advantage and card quality in this build? I'm not really sure I understand what it's trying to accomplish compared to Rhino...

Maybe Grim Flayer? He's become a staple in Modern Abzan.

I don't think Tarmogoyf is a good fit - we're not really an aggro deck, there's no way to use Goyf as a utility card, it's a weird...

It's worth noting also that Tracker is one of the best cards you can draw to compliment early disruption against a combo deck. Not many other 3-drops draw you into more disruption while presenting a...

My main concern would be how common reanimator is right now. You're not just running into DRS in opposing lists, you're also running into surgical extractions, leylines, and / or rest in peace to...

Respectfully disagree, sir. If a Miracles player is skilled, counterbalance can be extremely relevant. Most players in my meta are running 4x predict now, so the velocity with which they can find the...

Largely agree with above, but wanted to point out that P-Fire is largely better against Death and Taxes and Miracles, which make up a pretty decent percentage of the "winner's metagame" right now....

    Re: [Primer/Deck] Nic Fit

I think I like Inferno Titan better for Sneak. It's better on an empty board, hits planeswalkers, is castable, is a mana-sink, etc. That said, Massacre Wurm is a blast to play in your 75 in a pod...

    Re: [Primer/Deck] Nic Fit

Couldn't P-Fire have helped against Elves? They can definitely draw better than P-Fire but it's been important in the games where I've beaten elves with Sneak.

Also, and you probably knew this...
