8 slots? I count 4.
That's what Chant is for. There is no reason to play Painter before the turn you're going to play the combo.

Can anybody explain to me why Abeyance is worth its slots? To me it feels like a bad Chant. Nice under scepter, but not that good. is there something I'm missing?
