    Re: [Primer/Deck] Pox

Personally I've found the exact opposite. Speaking in wild generalities; when there's lots of combo, rack + hand disruption is weaker. It's too easy for them to rip something off the top that you...
  3. Re: 2nd with Pox, not quite a Mox Ruby (MTG Deals, 46 players)

I used to play Crucible years ago, but just wasn't happy with it. The occasional wasteland lock is nice, but the 3cmc spot is already full to the brim. You usually can't use it the turn it comes...
  4. Re: 2nd with Pox, not quite a Mox Ruby (MTG Deals, 46 players)

Time was not an issue for us. I was just trying to keep calm and go through all the right motions. I had made some bonehead mistakes earlier in the day and didn't want to punt in the top 8.

    Re: [Primer/Deck] Pox

Another idea I was toying with was Chalice of the Void. We don't have anything at 0, so it could be something we drop 1st turn to hurt storm, belcher, LED dredge, Affinity, MUD, etc (all decks we're...

    Re: [Primer/Deck] Pox

    @ Roguebuild
Regarding your second point, if you had to call pox either control or aggro or combo, then yeah I'd lump it into control, but I'm closer to Hardcore's view that Pox isn't just a control...

    Re: [DTB] Dredge

Entomb used to be a card that would see play on occasion back in the day. If we're talking about potential replacements for Putrid Imp that carry a ton of versatility I think it warrants discussion....

    Re: [DTB] Dredge

If you're running 14 lands you've got almost a 20% chance to start with at least 3 (to be able to flash back faithless looting) in your starting 7. If you're going to be on the draw (8 cards) it...

Awesome to see The Gate represented. Your opponent was also playing just as sloppy ;) Hilarious to hear the commentators struggle to figure out what you were up to. "Black agro.. one sec while I...

    Re: [Deck] Burn

Brief history lesson; Jay Schneider is the developer (dating back to the summer of 1994) of "Sligh," which got it's name from Paul Sligh who played the deck with great success during the 1996 PTQ...
