I don't own any, so there's that, but I'm unsure of what I'd cut to accomodate them as well. I've been playing Elves! since at least 2013, without Cradles, and the deck still runs admirably.

Yeah, the Viridian is a typo.

As for Cradle - you simply don't need them, you've plenty of mana. And more creatures > w/ Glimpse, Vizier and SotP.

Works fine in conjunction w/ Cabal Therapy and other discard. Between 8 fetch, 2 Bayou, 4 DRS, 4 GSZ and (at least in my case) up to 4 Birchlore Rangers you have plenty of black mana available.

@toletole: Progenitus is very good vs. tempo and midrange decks. They usually have no way to get rid of it and you don't have to worry about Stifle. You could always run 1 Craterhoof and 1 Ruric Thar...

Well... There is some potential. Turn a bunch of dudes sideways, do some extra damage at EoT.

Untap dudes during your opponents' turn to block.

It's 2 mana: Deal with it or die. I kinda like it.

Too much mana and folds to the same cards as the rest of your deck. It's not going to help one bit.

I've had my share of T2 kills w/o Cradle. You'll still need to Glimpse before going off b/c you'll have one creature w/o summoning sickness on T2 and by the time you need to drop your second land...

@Prdgychild: W/o Cradle is doable. Just sub a set of Birchlores. I've top 8'ed a local on 14 fetch/Forest, Glimpse and NO. But you can't do it without Glimpse.

That being said, Cradle is better.

You usually hit a dead end b/c you don't draw into enough creatures to continue the Glimpse chain, not b/c you don't have mana or untapped creatures.

Why..? I mean, the deck works just fine on Nettle Sentinel, Quirion Ranger and Wirewood Symbiote. Draught costs twice as much as any of those while doing nothing w/ an empty board and not being an...

I've done T2 kills without Cradles (or Nissa). 7 dudes on the field (of which 1 can attack) is enough. Or >=15 dudes if you just want to ride Craterhoof to the finishline.

13 lands, not 17. Gaea's Cradle is a ritual spell, not a land (as far as deckbuilding is concerned).

You could also run SDTs. The deck runs plenty of shuffle effects.

Meh, I still think you're nuts :laugh:. I get the point, but @1 mana, Symbiote is awesome. @3, less so. I guess this plan should improve G2/3 though, so there's that.

That's going to be boring. It's either a < 4 mana I-win-button or a 4 mana I-win-button that doesn't need you to sacrifice a creature or a NO-able creature that wins without a combat step. As for...
