Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

I am reanimating Chancellor a fair amount of time, obviously, Griselbrand is plan A, but the Chancellor is surprisingly powerful, a turn 1 reanimation is usually GG against more than 1/2 the format,...

Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

I've been playing this deck for a long time, I might have been the one of the first to propose using Children of Korlis and help to refine it into its current form....After quite a lot of testing...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Hey D@N, sorry for the late reply. I'm not a big fan of splashing colours, I think white is a big mistake, let alone green. You really want a consistent mana base to cast U & B turn 1 and 2,...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Well, this thread is dead, and I'm bored, so, a couple of things:

I look for excuses to "sleeve" up this deck, and .... June.11th will go down as the day of TINFINS...bwahahah.
    In case anyone...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

@ Richard: Daze + Force is better than cabal and thought-seize IMO, the whole reason I ran it is because I sold my FOW's ahead of the MOCS, which I since bought back. I'm always happy to actually...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Hey D@N, the split on dread and massacre is because you only need one dread, but, phyrexian revoker will still mess you up, so massacre is necessary. Also of course, massacre is good against other...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Haven't played Tinfins in awhile, I switched to playing Re-animator, which feels much more consistent and resilient to hate. Though, since I sold my FOW's ahead of the MOC's give-aways, I "sleeved...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Sorry for the late reply...PON is really only a sideboard card, and even then, it competes with Swan Song, Flusterstorm, and spell pierce for the spot, all which may be better. The counters are key...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

80% of all my games I combo out with Tendrils, I rarely ever go for an Emrakul + Griselbrand attack for the win. There are a lot of reasons for this, and its always dependent on the situation. Ie....

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

No, Gitaxian probe is still great for a number of reasons:

-It gives you info whether you can combo off or not, and games 2 and 3 what hate your opponent has
    -It's awesome with Lim-Dul's Vault...

Hey Dan, cool, probably met you before, good to see another Vancouverite on the board, though, as said I don't play paper magic anymore.

As for the questions, well, I i have to say, firstly, I...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

I've continued tweaking the UB version, I'm especially a lot happier with the sideboard. I play exclusively online, so, the SB is tuned to that meta. I'm 18-2 in tournament matches with this build...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Yeah, for sure, that's why I put the note at the bottom that I should have a Emrakul maindeck, but, the only reason I would want an Emrakul main is if my tendrils got discarded, so either I add the...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Well, after playing both UBw and UB both extensively, I can say that actually the UB version has a much stronger game against tempo, you should try it. Reason is the mana denial of stifle and...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

I love playing this deck, I think its well positioned with true name nemesis decks in the format now. Have been winning lots of booster packs with the deck on MTGO, going 4-0 and 3-1 the deck. I...

Ok, here is my current list, it's not perfectly tuned (ie exact land configuration, sideboard for meta, etc). This builds strength is that its more resilient to disruption and hate than the ANT...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

I haven't been to this thread in awhile, I'm very surprised to see that people have dropped Force, and are going with the ANT disruption package. IMO Force of Will is the MVP of the deck, I've been...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

This is the latest 75 I 4-0'd the DE's with. It feels like the most broken, soul-crushing deck I've played with in Legacy, and I played Reanimator with Mystical tutor when it was legal:

    Main...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

If you maindeck daze and thoughtseize then control decks shouldn't be a problem. This deck requires you to play tight, and aggressively mulligan. I probably mulligan close to 50% of the time with...

Yeah, thanks .DK, I just finished the event going 4-0, with a perfect (2-0, 2-0, 2-0, 2-0) record....pretty cool, haven't done that too many times. It should be posted online tommorow, or Tuesday...

Yeah, I mean there are advantages to running Labman, and I hear you on the Tendrils, it does have some utility, but dodging storm hate, being non-targeted and winning at instant speed are huge...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Just 3-1'd a DE, the list will be up tommorow, so won't write it out. Should/could have been 4-0, but in the last match, I drew 23 cards and couldn't find a mana source for the win  , almost...
