Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Wess, this is exciting to see. I was just talking with a friend today about the UB version. Then it got the wheels spinning. I was thinking about what Richard Cheese said back in March. That Pact...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

For what it is worth I had success riffing on the below list on Cockatrice in solitaire mode (playing both decks.) I wouldn't call it official testing or actual play though.

    Each deck I would...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

I haven't tested the :u: build vs. the :b: built to an extent in which I feel I can speak about it comfortably. Also, given the time between now and Atlanta, and the time it would take to do that...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

It really comes down an educated guess. After the printing of Force of Will in 1996 discard and combo got worse. After that combo decks had to have a way to interact with the hand or the stack. ...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

I think it's more like what .dk said. If you run 2-4 Lim-Dûl's Vault you wouldn't want (4) Show and Tell as your primary goal is still to win off of a reanimated Griselbrand. If that gets nerfed...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

I'm trying to respond to a lot in a short time so sorry if I skipped over some stuff.
I’ll cover this later when I talk about being a two trick pony.

Exactly, it seems like something may be...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

After some minmal testing and modification of the list I posted earlier today I can say that Lim-Duls Vault does show quite a bit of potential. The initial conceptual list was too mana light as many...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

I had this thought the other day, and I thought I would bring it up for discussion.

Tin Fins is a 2 card in hand 3 mana combo. Flash / Hulk (what some to believe the best deck in Legacy ever) was...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

If you're going as deep as Teferi's Realm (which is cool) you might have luck with Devastation Tide, but a transformational board is likely better.

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Okay then what are the Massacre for? ...the Hurkyl's Recall seems really redundant.

Yeah if that is how it works I'd be really happy with that. You have no less change of doing that given my...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Koby i'm not quite up to speed as to what all the cards in the Sideboard function as in each match-up, but i'm eyeing-up from your sideboard the following (the bold ones):

    2 Pithing Needle
    2...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

All of your "answers" discussed are reactive and non-combo enablers.

I'm not advocating the removal of discard (a combo enabler), but I see some lists with Silence, Unmask, Gitaxian Probe, chrome...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

I may be missing something, but, if the deck can consistently win within turn 3 without disruption. It only basically looses to fast graveyard hate like Rest in Peace, or faster combos. ...what...
