Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Well, it looks fancy, but the downsides you mentioned seem to be quite problematic indeed.

Actually this makes me wondering: how does the "Pomegrant's list" look like nowadays, aka now that we got...

Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Why exactly did you guys end up with 3 Unmask over Toughtseize / more Collective Brutality? Is the card that much better in the post-top meta?

That makes a lot of sense, thank you. I just hope my instinct won't be too bad when I'll cabal them! =D

Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

    GG for your 4-0!
Now, i was wondering if you were always taking 4 probes out to take your sideboard cards in, or if this is only against certain match-ups, like those four you just played against?...

This was very funny, and even more with the 'd !

Thanks for your report. I actually played the (almost, see bellow) exact same list as you just did. But I forgot to give credits to...

Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

I do understand this. However, I often was able to combo turn 1 without disruption. In some of those cases (aka playing against blue decks), I was always very happy to see if they had a counterspell...

1/ So no Massacre? I like it against D&T / Maverick or even some Mentor.deck, because sometimes, especially if you are on the play post-board (typically in game 3), you could want to play the...

Thank you! =P I really enjoyed that game!

That is a brillant idea. I will try that set-up and see how it goes. I think if I had to choose 5 hate cards, I would go for something like 1 Pithing...

Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

    Hi guys!
This weekend, I tried to burn some onions in my homeland: Switzerland. The tournament - Demonsota took place in Saint-Maurice, in the swiss alps. It was the «final act» of the season (3...

Re: [Deck] TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

Hey guys. I am currently working on the Mentor list, and I am wondering about the manabase and the board plan:

    14 lands MD:
    - 3 US
    - 1 Scrubland
    - 1 Tundra
    - 1 Swamp
    - 8 fetches
    1 land SB:...

    1) Mhhh, and let's say a third game must be played; would we want to go back to combo or rather stay with the mentor plan?

    2) And asside from Miracle, against what deck do we want to go for the...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

An important part of playing this deck is indeed about knowing when - or when not - to take some mulligans. With the possible mulligan changing rule, TinFins could benefits a lot from it (like others...

Ok, pretty clear...except...you said you were playing and "Old UBw list". If not for Serenity nor Silence, what is the white for? I guess it's not for hardcasting Children! Or you meant UBg?

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

So you've got space for Bayou + Tropical? How is your manabase built? Something like 2-3 Underground Sea, 1 Tundra, 1 Bayou, 1 Tropical Island, 1 Scrubland? Wasn't that a problem against wasteland?

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst

You remove almost every blue spell i guess. The idea is to not have to cantrip; you would rather mull until you find a winning hand (if I understood correctly the spirit of this "trolllist").

Wow, this makes me really curious about how viable such a list could be! Also, it makes me think about the T1 Serum Powder Dredge strategie: mull until you have a winning / decent hand.

    1/ Could...

Re: TinFins 3: Return of the Onion Burst
