    Re: [DTW] UW(x) Landstill

I really like your list Gustha. Kind of a Landstill/Ultimate Walker/Speedstill hybrid. But the removal package seems pretty optimal: Firespout and EE wreck early drops and STP and PTE pick off the...

    Re: [DTW] UW(x) Landstill

The mana curve on this deck looks really rugged. Has it been playing out ok for you versus the faster decks in the format? I can totally see it destroying control mirrors and CB/T etc since it hits...

    Re: [DTW] UW(x) Landstill

Ior Ruin Expedition looks like an Ancestral Visions that: costs more mana, can be Spell Snared, can be Krosan Grip'd, and draws you 1 less card.

@ Rockout looking for a SB card against alot of...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

Moat seems really counter-synergistic with 5 grounded manlands, and Trinket Mages. I'd probably play 1 Enlightened Tutor, and an additional removal spell in the places of the Mages. A land could...

They should just print a black Swords to Plowshares and we can remove White from the Magic color wheel.

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

If they are running Volrath's Stronghold and the Landstill player isn't running Humility, I think they just win G1. 4 Swords can only permanently answer so many threats. If they run Chalice, then...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

    Pretty sure he did.

Mishra's is better at dealing with T1 guys (to push an early Standstill), and Waste-lock isn't what it once was, when used its generally in the long game where, with the amount...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

Yea I think the main point everyone is agreeing on. Spell Snare is amazing, play 3-4 of them. Obviously Force of Will (4) and Counterspell (2-4, depending on build) are run in addition. The deck...

Mossivo is saying, Turn 2 they are casting Counterbalance, you are Spell Snaring, they are either 1) Forcing your Spell Snare, 2) Accepting their CB is Countered (IE...

Since you're using Green for your 3rd color for EE anyway I'd definitely run a Life from the Loam, it makes you're Intuition piles that much more busted.

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

I really don't see this card as "the one card that really screws us". As a vanilla 2/1 that cantrips its like a worse version of Eternal Witness. What makes it amazing is when its a cantriping 3/2...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

    Truth.

I'm running 14 Blue sources, 13 White sources, 9 Black sources. No Dragons, 4 Brainstorms, 24 lands.

    4 Mishra's Factory
    4 Tundra
    3 Polluted Delta
    3 Flooded Strand
    2 Island

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

Meekstone seems awful. With Mutavault/Mishra's/Lord of Atlantis completely unaffected by it and Reejerey's effect it seems like the Merfolk player could easily navigate around it.

    Meekstone...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

Totally agree, but I think the point they are making is valid, that less Factories means less situations where you'll have Factory advantage to lay a Standstill against these decks.

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

Yea I'd be interested in a more thorough explanation of these as well.

4 Mishra's seems very defensible in a format where most of the decks are Blue seeing as it's an uncounterable threat.

    I...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

Vindicate answers the problem a turn earlier, and can hit land. It's also an out to opposing Planeswalkers which I guess don't see a ton of play outside Landstill but in the mirror seems relevant.

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

Yea in the UW list I would cut B2B #2 and Crucible #2 for Standstill #4 and Swords #4. In places of the Swords on the board I'd add an Enlightened Tutor to give the option of wishing to pull up a...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

I'd agree with cutting the Mountain, probably for a Plateau (Allowing you access to a W/R source from Eternal Dragon and Flooded Strand). I'd cut a Polluted Delta for the 4th Flooded Strand as well,...

    Re: [DTB] UW(x) Landstill

Does the deck really need more win conditions? I feel like with 3-4 Factory, 1-3 DoJ, 0-2 Eternal Dragon and 0-2 Elspeth, there's alot of good options that all add something in addition to being...

    Re: [DtB] UW(x) Landstill

The card is a secondary win condition and is a great form of card advantage, especially in the late game.

You play counter-answers to all those cards too, I mean just about any win condition can...
