One thing i don't understand: Why are you boarding Force of will out?
Ęther vial is such a beating, and force of will is one of the best ways of shutting it down.
On the subject of ęther vial in...
Anyone know where i can find a guide to the death and taxes and nic fit match ups?
I have a plan against nic fit, but against death and taxes i really am at a loss.
All my cards seems terrible...
This is going to sound insane....But, against infect i sideboard counterbalance out.
There are two ways i can loose to infect, either they get a fast nutdraw or they beat me to death with the...
I was wondering if the lack of council's judgment in the main was ever a problem?
You have pretty much adjusted your old ponder list to a heavy delver meta, cutting counterspell, judgment (Broad,...
Wait what, that was your suggestion not mine. I specifically said that i thought counterbalance was an end-game card against them because it does not deal with their early threats.
You where the one...
Finally some people i can agree with. Now i just need to know how to actually pull it off, which is exactly what i am having problems with.
My full deck list is:
Lands: 21
4 Flooded strand
4...
my issue is that they go first, drop delver, then i take my turn and drop a land and perhaps a cantrip (Even if i have plow i would consider it wrong to play it here, rather than wait for daze...
Well, great! Then tell me how to beat those decks.
I find both of the miracle cards to be clunky and hard to resolve, jace does very little (4 mana). If they go first my counterbalance is pretty...
What are people's experiences with stoneforge + batterskull vs. delver of secret aggro-control decks ?
Delver decks are by far my worst match-ups.
Because, i thought that legacy high tide was called solidarity.
When i saw this thread i figured that legacy players worldwide decided that high tide was a better name for the deck (Which it is!)...
You see, i thought this was the Solidarity thread :P
Legacy decks need better naming i think.
Yes, thats what i was considering. Snap and/or reset to untap. Meditate to draw cards, snapcasters could also make a more controllish approach possible.
Oh, and it can win at instant speed too!
Has anyone tried a few personal tutors? (1-2)
It shuffles, it gets terminus, it gets entreat, it gets council's judgment.
So, how good is high tide with snapcaster mages and no candelabra?
Possibly with no time spirals either? Has anyone tried, and was it any good?
Don't worry. I am going to. I will of course report back if i ever faced any issue at all with the bolt. (Which won't happen)
And for the record: i am not running basic mountain because of lightning...
But what clique does not do, that bolt does does, is both provide an answer to early creatures as well as being good against planeswalkers.
Lets break the problem down:
Fetching nonbasics...
Well, does anyone else run bolt? :)
If no one uses it, of course it does not get into the top8.
Short list of early game plays that bolt does not kill: Nimble mongoose (plow has no effect...
You seem very focused on TNN. Honestly, i was worried about that when i picked the deck up. But after just 1 match against it, i realized that it is not very good against miracles. Because of one...
Why would you run o-ring over council's judgment? Are you that worried about double white?
Also, do you really need 6 one mana removal spells? I find that just 4 plows is usually more than i need....
Oh i definitely agree that i am probably taking too much time with the top, but that will be reduced with more practice i assume. However, more entreats should allow for quicker games thus decreasing...
I am strongly considering a third entreat because i go to time almost every round :)
In a tournament setting, the clock is an issue. This alone would suggest that a powerful early threat could be good.
What is SFM? stone forge mystic ?
I am currently pondering if i should run rest in peace or relic of progenitus.
I am running 3 snapcaster mages, and RIP has very poor synergy with the mages.
Why did you opt for RIP? :)
