    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Just curious if anyone has tested 3-4 Choke in the maindeck? I see that there's a Green stompy deck that plays this and 3-4 Sylvan Library as well in the main to combat the Blue-heavy metagame we are...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

I'm sure it's been discussed before, but a card that I think would be kind of cool as a back-up kill condition in the SB is Primal Order.

All you have to do is drop it and play defensively for a...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Does not cantrip. Requires constant mana investment, which the deck can't really afford in the first few turns.

I'm not saying the deck couldn't make use of some artifact silver bullets, but SDT...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Top 32 is nice, but not exactly good enough to classify it as a definitive result. What decks did you lose to?

Daze is overall less popular than it used to be. Blue decks seem to be running stuff...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Progenitus is absolutely win-more. If you can get to 11 mana for GSZ, you're better off just getting to 15 for Emrakual since he's uncounterable and typically wins the game on the spot.

    My current...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

I haven't been playing this deck much lately, but one suggestion I would make is running 2 Green Sun's Zenith in the main.

This brings your virtual Enchantress count up to 10, which should give...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Emrakul is sooo 'win-more'. As has been stated many times, if you are in a position to play Emrakul, you've probably been in a winning position with another kill card earlier.

    I have taken...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Dovescape trumps control decks, especially if you have a Vexing Shusher out. You get the tokens -and- resolve your own spells.

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

1 gsz seems to be enough to improve the chance of getting an enchantress on board in a timely matter. Too many clog the deck up though. I board it out versus blue decks usually, because it is an easy...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Here's my list. Give it a try. I have been playing the deck for over a year now and have tested multiple configurations and various cards. I am not saying that this is the be-all end-all list, but...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Solitary Confinement is the card that makes you win. Most opponents scoop to a stable confinement lock. It demands an answer before your opponent can really do anything, and by that point you should...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

I use Moat in the main and humility in the sideboard to bring in vs decks running tons of utility creatures/Emrakul. Humility obviously is just a further lock piece, because it hampers your own...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Humility is worth considering for a slot in the sideboard. Granted, it's 4 mana, but it will solve the creature problem.

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Why would you play Dovescape without vexing shusher? No Moat? Also, I don't think you really need that many (or even any) ground seals. Otherwise the list looks good.

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Using gsz in conjuction with guile is good. Even if zenith is just saying "g: shuffle your library", it will have some potential late-game utility. If you're worried about it coming back as a dead...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

4 may be too many. Perhaps 2 or 3? The goal is to have an Enchantress effect by turn 2 and Zenith is faster than a Living Wish in that regard. To make it slightly more useful you can run 1 Dryad...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Null rod is awesome in vintage, not so much in legacy. Until there are more artifacts worth turning off, I think it is a very narrow card. Pithing needle may be more useful since it hits just about...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Well for what it's worth, I ran some calculations for serum powder.

Chance of drawing an enchantress in your opening 7 (60 cards): 71%
Chance of drawing one after one serum powder (53 cards):...

Yeah, I tested it a bit myself and found it underwhelming. We should be using game-changing enchantments that practically win the game upon resolution (moat, blood moon, choke, solitary confinement,...

Shusher is great, and has been mentioned in this thread before. To combat blue decks, I like having 3 shushers, 1 choke and 1 dovescape in the sideboard (DS is mostly for control, but has synergy...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

To support guile, just run a couple more fetches, either 6 or 7 seems to be enough.

    Try this:
    4 windswept Heath
    2 misty rainforest
    2 plains
    2 serra's sanctum
    2 savannah
    1 taiga
    6/7 forest...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Not sure if getting specific lands are so essential for this deck. The best land tutor is crop rotation, but it doesn't help the rest of the gameplan. I'd suggest just running more copies.

    I have...
