I play my goyf sligh list with 4 Confidants and 4 Crusher. It makes the control MU much better.

If it really comes to the lategame and you need burn to finish the game, they have probably disrupted you heavily with Counterbalance, Chalice, Circle of protection, etc.

But I think its more a fun deck because if your opponent plays a STP in response of your brute force on a creature, its bad bad bad.
So i'd just put more burn in it instead...

with the pump effects i'd also play boros swiiftblade and jitte

Maybe you meant my black/red discard deck I posted in the autumn last year. I played 16 discard spells + nezumi shortfang, red damage, Ensnaring Bridge and SDT. Therefore I must say that I'm not sold...

I finished yesterday as 3rd of 15 people at my lokal tournament.
My list was a little different:

You're right, 4 Fireblast and 4 Shard Volley might be too much; I didn't think carefully about it.

But you also shouldn't forget that you surely wouldn't cast a fireblast and a shard volley on...

I think you can also run 4 needle drops to make the deck thinner. And actually, you're playing a 44 card deck; the fetches don't count.

What I would change is:

Your list looks pretty good.
But i'd play sulfuric Vortex instead of browbeat and the single earthquake, because played on turn 3 it deals 4 damage until turn 4, so it isn't too bad...

This deck is amazing. I have played against it several times and I can say that it's fast enough to beat combo decks, can fight its way through goblins and can start with its combo in the next couple...

I top8ed with Goyf Sligh on sunday. I played the black splash and it worked really well for me.

I don't think that the skyshroud elves would fit in the deck, because i think that the Heritage Druids and the Birchlore Rangers are far better mana options, since they turn my elves...
