@Matsu
So the word “Scroll” already tips us off that it plays nicely with Cursed Scroll, which in turn immediately brings us to what @Mr.Safety pointed out: Pox.
The closest cards to Scroll of...
I think you need to re-read Scroll of Fate :cool:
So somewhere between an overcosted Anger, why am I not playing Hogaak instead, and doesn’t make a Grisel.
I would think that Lotus Field in a not-:r: deck (except for Tectonic Hellion) would be the most responsible starting point.
I want to say that this card is kinda just worse than the Hexproof, First Strike Narset from Khans block.
Edit: found it; Narset, Enlightened Master
Not how that works; can only un-manifest creatures or keyword morph/megamorph. Blinking face-down permanent can only come back if it's a permanent.
edit: Nvm, you're talking about 3-for-1 to make...
Dreadnought artifact is quite good. Finally have a more reasonably costed Mastery of the Unseen effect. I dislike calling it "manifest" as this mechanic implies from top of deck. This card is highly...
Scaretiller seems quite powerful. The 4 cost is steep but cool interaction with City.
The issue I see is that the cost is X:1::b: so in the upper right it's a colorless X, which isn't requiring black specific ally. In the same way I don't think you could pay for hostile Spell Pierce...
I think that spell states colorless X, so it wouldn't work?
This Yawg'son can alt-pay for Infernal Darkness and Phyrexian Etchings right? (the CU costs)
Kadena has decent templating, but is unplayable at 4 mana; black is the odd man out in face-down stuff since DRS banned. At the end of the day we're looking at a card that is an uncastable mash-up of...
Nope-(ish), I think you've misread what I'm talking about.
The moment you tap a Mask'd creature = replacement effect -> face-up it. Morph/Megamorph is not needed to turn a face-down Mask'd...
The TLDR on Ill. Mask is that once a creature is printed with 0-2 cmc (upper right of card) + morph ability that say "win the game," the unmorph cost is actually zero [when played face-down via Mask]...
Better take this time to make sure you already own Masks before they break it and spike prices! :cool:
