    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

That was my thought as well for that particular match-up although I prefer containment priest (flash + non-blue being key).
For dedicated gy hate I prefer rest in peace.

    Yup. My mistake.

Regarding the surgical extraction situation my first question would be why board surgical at all? I understand the situations where it is supposed to be good but in the end the...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

I would hesitate to board flusterstorm vs them at all since it is pretty narrow. But to be able to set up an early game fetch with flusterstorm protection (even when fluster is a 3-off which is the...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

First of all my initial reaction was when you claimed REB/pyroblast was not worth it because if they run stifle and they would just stifle the fetch leaving you without red. While if you would have...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

That's not really an issue in my current 75 since I don't play a basic mountain. But I would not dare say that you always want island-island-plains over island-mountain-plains assuming you even have...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

? So you also side out all your fetches then? Or do you reckon they only stifle the ones that can go for basic mountain? And do you also side out your non-basics since they can get hit by wasteland? ...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

I would never board clique vs them and neither would I board flusterstorm (too narrow). From the ashes is interesting but probably too cute. Siding out removal seems odd.
    I would however keep the...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

Meta is pretty random in the sense that most people attending the FNM's are pretty much able to play/build any deck they want.
Match-ups are an important part of the equasion although it would seem...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

Played Mackan's list in my local FNM last friday to a 3-0 finish beating pyromancer-delver, maverick and stoneblade.
Switched from Joe Losset's iteration of the deck to this because I had some bad...

    Congratulations on the performance anyway.
Not having mentor in the 75 is a definitive thing or is it still competing for a slot? Why/why not?

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

I noticed you experimented with and extra mentor main (and the 2nd Venser on the side). What made you change it back to the singleton? I like your version a lot but it's difficult to close games fast...

Re: Confirmed: Eternal Masters - June 10, 2016

If this was true most counterfeits would be RL cards but I'm pretty sure that T2/Modern cards are perhaps even more viable for counterfeits then P9/RL cards are because of the volume of the market. ...

Re: Confirmed: Eternal Masters - June 10, 2016

    Don't think so.
The cost would be impossible to calculate and would not only stem from lawsuits but also players/traders giving up on Magic because of the liability in having an extensive magic...

    Re: Best Era of Legacy?

If I interpret Legacy as broadly as one can (i.e. including what used to be called extended) my favourite time was when I started playing.

    1) The format was revolving around 8-land stompy and...

Re: [DTB] ANT (Ad Nauseam Tendrils) Storm Combo

Show and tell slower then we are? Perhaps by half a turn and that's not counting disruption. And which of those decks is the most consistent? I can't say. Both run a healthy amount of cantrips and...

Re: [DTB] ANT (Ad Nauseam Tendrils) Storm Combo

If you read my posts properly I did not advocate xantid as being a powerhouse that's a must include in our deck. I merely stated that in the delver match-up it is at it's best as they are almost...

Re: [DTB] ANT (Ad Nauseam Tendrils) Storm Combo

perhaps they will have lightning bolt in their 60 but they need to have it at the right time. Abrupt decay seems ludicrous unless they have no sb whatsoever vs us.

Re: [DTB] ANT (Ad Nauseam Tendrils) Storm Combo

Swarms are very good vs delver decks because they have no permanent hate.
Swarms are very dodgy vs Omnitell because they do nothing to stop them from comboing off and nigh useless vs miracles...

Re: [DTB] ANT (Ad Nauseam Tendrils) Storm Combo

Grinding station is probably the best configuration vs miracles (although still very hard to actually win).
But if you don't bring in swarms vs them (which I can understand for the reasons your...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

Since chalice game 1 is a thing I wondered if you considered meltdown in the sideboard. It hits quite a few things apart from chalice (canonist comes to mind) and has the nice variable casting...

Deck choice and deck building is just as much part of magic as getting your cantrips right.

Re: [DTB] ANT (Ad Nauseam Tendrils) Storm Combo

Funny thing. I felt that the European metagame is favouring Storm more then before GP Lille.
The miracles decks are struggling and the delver match-ups are doable. Certainly because they solely...

Re: *From Kyoto to Lille - GP 17th with ANT*

Discussed this with a senior level judge and apparently the owner of the chalice is responsible for saying the spell gets countered. If he doesn't the spell resolves.

Nevilshute could you please post your boarding plans where you board in the pyromancers?
I'm interested in the strategy :)

Would you still play them at your next tournament?

Was there in GP Lille as well.

    Friday trial:

    round 1: win (forgot)
    round 2: win 2-0 (burn)
round 3: win 2-1 (ichorid, he threw away last game when stacking his gy wrong)
    round 4: win vs...
