Maybe it's just because Deus of Calamity is my favorite card, but those gods from Shadowmoor are fucking sick

Elderspell is basically unplayable so even smother for walkers is probably bad. You'd need to tack on some advantage like B1, kill creature or Walker with 4 CMC or less, if walker killed this way...
I mean let's be real it's ponder and preordain, but those 2 as options are definitely a step down in terms of power more in line (and yet probably still better) with the rest of the format
Being an idealist isn't bad though. Especially in a world where legacy is pretty much dead at this point. I know many people are just over with what the format has become and moved on. And that's...
I came here to say this but I'm glad someone else beat me to it
It's kind of funny that the "Most Played Cards" section below those decks for whatever reason doesn't take into account companions
Plus at least for legacy you'd need to ban both Mishra and Urza's Bauble. And I mean c'mon. It's a fucking joke if you think those are the problem cards
I don't mean to splice up your entire quote, much of what I agree with, but I remember the same day of Breach being spoiled that there was talk of brainfreeze being a good kill condition with the...
I hate companions, I hate Planeswalkers. You've successfully described my personal hell
I don't know about tanking the playability of those other very powerful cards just because Oko gets banned. All of those were pretty playable (besides Uro obviously) before Oko came around
I don't mind a changing format. It's just not changing in a way that I like or think is good.
Or everyone can just quit because it's miserable.
Not sure why you wouldn't play like 3 Pridemage Maindeck. It's great with the double strike cat, it pins under chrome mox very well, and it's just a great all around card.
With sacrifice trigger on the attack use my sundial of the infinite to end the turn?
If my opponent casts a lurrus in game 2 and I kill it and then they later delve for a gurmag or something that they boarded in and I die to it I absolutely am expecting my opponent to get a game loss.
Yeah I was debating Golos as well. Seems like not the worst thing. Golos if nothing else finds you an Eye or Wasteland.
In Painter Discard we've been discussing Jegantha just to have a 5/5 in hand at all times.
If someone gets to cast a free companion and then later on in the game their deck proves to be illegal it should absolutely be a game loss. That's akin to drawing extra cards or something. I'm not...
Just watched Nassif get beaten by opponent making Ballista for 3 multiple times in a game. God if they ban another companion I'll lol
What if a player has cast and used their companion multiple times that game and then after that plays a card to show that their deck is illegal? Is that then a game loss?
This is actually one of my favorite source posts in a long time. I very much agree with all of this. Storm can be a fun match up even if I'm a non blue player because my SB decisions, and my first...
The difference is chalice requires real build arounds, has restrictions in deck building, and the best answer to chalice isn't more chalice. It can be warping in a way, but it's never enough % of...
Unless that card was aggressively costed or very color dependent it would just be absorbed by Xerox decks. At the end of the day the best thing to do in legacy will be to play 4x Brainstorm, 4x...
Monkey Bolt ftw is so good. I didn't realize people on MTGO were so salty
If Bog/Crypt are problems is white Leyline an option?
