Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I am a big fan of Blossom. I was the guy telling everyone to run blossom before SDT was banned because it's good and helped trounce miracles. As that guy I have to say that 4 is too many. I was...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Honestly Interrogator could be good enough in DGA if you've got a lot of spare mana (I.E. not running Lingering souls, having no issues with equip mana.) He's CA where Therapist is usually just...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

IMO, one of the biggest advantages to Chrome Mox is the ability to survive T1 Blood Moons that much more often have have more "virtual 1-drops" to start the game strong against Chalice.

    I think...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I was away for awhile, but Alms Collector is pretty nifty! I think I'll be trying that in Bant if I'm reading the card right.

Thanks for showing me a weird card!

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I don't have a strong opinion on Gid v Elspeth; but I really like the Fly-Pumps.

On blossom: I've loved blossom for a few years. Even when decay was everywhere, blossom was the easiest "lol i win"...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I'll say that Greaves is much better with Blossom than Souls. I'm brewing a DeadGuy-Junk list at the moment as I sell off some of the more extraneous parts of my collection (volcs, extra...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I think if you're running Bladehold you should really consider Lightning Greaves. Lightning Greaves not only enables a very ridiculous T3 Hasted Skull on some hands, but it enables Hasted Bladehold;...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Every once in awhile I have to stop in and bother you guys about not running Blossom. Whenever I land it in something like Esper it's one of the best cards in the deck. It beats up Lands, most fair...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

    - I agree that Miracles was a big problem for the deck; I think this deck would see some Tops if it were played more

    - I agree that Brutality is quite good. I wouldn't think running even 3 is a...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I know that the deck doesn't see a lot of Top8s at major tournies, but the one that got it from my area ran 3. It's very good with mom and 1-CMC discard as a way to just keep putting your opponent...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

3 Mox seems high, but I'm very curious to hear the list! I think you can run more Mox next to Brutality since it make use of the extras. Can't wait

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I'd say if you're going to do that, running Mom is prudent. Mom + Sculler is pure gas imo

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I disagree on both points, but it depends on the 2-drop. If you're letting them kill your sculler to get their Goyf back, that's just bad I think; but you're letting them pump their goyf and cast it....

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Yeah, I mostly have it so I can tutor it up and "turn off" show and tell. Between that and EDIT: [Needles] you can put them in a very narrow "Through the Breach" area. Priest of course shuts...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Small note: I've been floating mostly in Esper at the moment, so YMMV. That said, I would only alter this by 2-3 cards if I was in Junk/DGA, and it was almost identical when I was in Bant. I've been...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I've considered it as a way to make sick SFM/DRS/Blossom tokens better; but I don't like that it's not really a threat. I think I'd rather have Lightning Greaves in it's place, because Greaves has...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I'll admit, I actually tutored it both SB games against Turbo-Depths last time as my best tutor target even with Lage on the field. I handily won both games

Two is a comfortable number if...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

Bitterblossom is the real deal, especially when dropped T2. I've been vouching for it for a couple years. I pay no mind when someone opposite drops an early souls; you'll take like 4ish damage and...

To support mega's point and counter jeff's: Yes there are a lot of DRS right now, but having a suite of Vindis, Wastelands, and your own DRS to stall their mana is a big deal. These decks are...

I was just trying to help you figure out a way to use the grave. I do think Mirran Crusader is a good choice, but he still gets stalled by TNN. One that dodges all non-red removal is...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

This is my approach to Lands in any deck at this point. Have a Rip/ETutor in the side, and most of the rest of the MU is just playing chicken with their Manabase while advancing your board in such a...

The deck has always been lacking in the "beater" department. Just make 1-2 "beater" slots Tombstalker and call it a day. If you have color screw issues, go to Gurmag *maybe*; but I really have come...

Burn is usually a combination of 2-3 of the following when you get a win:
    * Hymn/Liliana -> these munch 3-6 hp off of their clock. Burn draws about 2 damage per turn when you average it's lands in,...

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I was a Junk/DGA/Jund/4c-non-blue/Nic Fit guy for few years, but it's true that if you taste brainstorm it's hard to get by without it. Without top I'd have a harder time coming back. I'd start with...
