It's like some ungodly mixture of Death & Taxes and Thalia Stompy.
Good call on the probes/Dazes.
I like the idea of maindeck Jaces over 2 Relics. That still leaves one to search with Whirr if you need it. You just lose some psuedo-acceleration from Improvise.
...
The missing cards are 4 Gitaxian Probe by the way. I've tested it out a fair bit. Jace TMS + Bridge is definitely better than Thopter Spy Network (especially if you aren't playing artifact...
Stifle-Naught just isn't viable anymore, sadly. Abrupt Decay dug the grave and Kolaghan's Command/Fatal Push sealed it. Standstill is still viable but the best version is UB and that's not very...
It's not positioned perfectly right now, but I still think it's competitive if you tune it correctly for the metagame.
Peter Tragos (who got 1st with the deck not too long ago) got a 2nd place...
Well done!
Would you say 4 LED is standard now?
Regular Grim Monoliths are $50. Death of Legacy?
The only reserved list cards that matter for Legacy are Duals and there are plenty of decks that don't play them.
This has been the trend for a while now.
I love how they fooled everyone into thinking this would be a shitty casual set <3
How'd they get the old Thoughtseize art back? Amazing.

The speculators must feel stupid now.
Cards are only not legal in Modern until they get reprinted...
What about Modern Masters (storm is a thing), Conspiracy-style sets, FTV, etc... There are more ways they could reprint it even outside of Eternal Masters and Commander, which are both obvious to me....
Surely Flusterstorm could get reprinted in any new set, masters edition, or commander deck? And then the price is going to tank. Also there are tons of cards with similar effects (Spell Pierce,...
2nd this list. Seems like the most modern version of this type of deck.
I'd try Basilisk Collar instead of Jitte, and maybe add a Trinket Mage to go find it, since it combos really nicely with Ballista.
Are we looking at the same decklist?
PATHY (30TH PLACE)
LEGACY CHALLENGE #10840509 ON 08/27/2017
Creature (26)
1 Containment Priest
4 Eldrazi Displacer
2 Palace Jailer
4 Reality Smasher
Think that's a bit harsh. This deck is a lot more aggressive than 4C. Snapcaster doesn't always have to be used reactively when you have Bolts and cantrips in your graveyard.
Does anyone have any...
What you described is a healthy market moderated by supply and demand. If leveraged buyouts ever become a thing then we might have a bubble on our hands. But MTG cards still aren't liquid enough to...
They've already fallen again by about 50%, but these cards will always be susceptible to buyouts and spikes since circulation is so small.
Right. It's basically "Old School Extended".
Isn't Legacy mainly blue decks...?
With Old School 93/94 being so popular, do you guys think there will ever be an "old border only" format? Basically the opposite of Modern. Which decks would be Tier 1?
It's all about the Wizard tribal.
I tested the card in about 20 games over the weekend playing Grixis Pyromancer. She seems much more of a haymaker than Snapcaster ever did, even without flash or the ability to counter things on your...
