Re: [Article]Eternal Europe: Khan's Dangerous Cards

I have no idea what "Sultai" means.

Other than that, excellent article on an interesting subject. I hope you are right that the blue Delve cards can set some new things in motion for Legacy. As...

Re: [Article]Eternal Europe: Innovation Spotlight II

    Nice article.

I actually sleeved up that first list yesterday. I was looking for decks with Grim Lavamancer and Standstill, and found that one incorrectly labeled as "UR Burn" on TCdecks.
    I like...
  3. Re: [Article] North American Defeatism and the Dominance of Brainstorm

So by your definition decks that contain Brainstorm are "blue"... I disagree.

The way that I see it, there is exactly 1 blue deck in the top 16 of the event in question (High Tide).
    Then there...
  4. Re: [Article] North American Defeatism and the Dominance of Brainstorm

    100% this, Rune.

I am not going to tell anyone to go play Modern, but I will say that if you ban Brainstorm, Legacy will become more like Modern. Yes, Brainstorm/Ponder, and FoW are the most...
  5. Re: [Article] North American Defeatism and the Dominance of Brainstorm

I think most people here know what Brainstorm does, the power of the card, as well as your opinion at this point.

    Re: [Deck] bUrg Tempo

Nice results. I might try this deck soon.
Grim Lavamancer is certainly very powerful, but considering your maindeck reliance on the graveyard (deathrite and goyf), don't you expect some fair decks...
  7. Re: [Article] North American Defeatism and the Dominance of Brainstorm

    Brilliant, Sherlock.
Now ask yourself why Legacy is not already dead, when theoretically people should have been rage quitting left and right since forever.
  8. Re: [Article] North American Defeatism and the Dominance of Brainstorm

Nice article. I didn't think a rebuttal article was needed because the original article was so weak, but this is a good one.

@mrblueduck: Nice to see that you are still playing and improving your own deck. I remember commenting on one of your builds more than a year ago, when you were considering Settler. Really cool that...

    Re: Bazaar of Moxen

I see this all the time, and I think it gives those who practice it systematically a slight edge. I agree, it should be a moot point, and it shouldn't matter because the deck is randomized. The...

I mentioned that Vial got countered precisely because it mattered. If I thought it didn't matter, I wouldn't even have mentioned it. To further clarify, except for the times that you mentioned Vial...

Re: SCG LA Open: Tournament Report

Nice result and report. I noticed two things in your report:
    1. Wasteland mattered enough to be mentioned in only one game, and
    2. Vial was countered twice in one match, and didn't seem to matter...

Re: GP Richmond and its affect on legacy

Modern popularity boost comes mostly at the expense of Standard. This could be good for Legacy in the long run.
Legacy's two major problems right now are price inflation, and to a lesser extent TNN.

What? No. I don't even need to see a face, just the cards will do.

Goblin Recruiter in a blue shell?
I would love to see a decklist. I hear laughter is good medicine.

Anyway, balancing the color wheel should not be a major consideration when managing the banned...

Poll: Re: Would you like to see Survival back in the format?

    This is a myth.

Goblin Recruiter is banned in Legacy simply because it was banned in Extended when the first Legacy banned list was made.

The reason for Goblin Recruiters ban in Extended was...

Poll: Re: Would you quit Legacy if Brainstorm was banned?

    Well said. I agree.

I also doubt that we have seen the last of Spirit of the Labyrinth. So far I have only seen it as 'hatebear of the week' in already existing hatebear decks.
    It might require a...

Poll: Re: Would you quit Legacy if Brainstorm was banned?

Banning cards for giving "players opportunity to cheat" is absurd.

Brainstorm and similar spells or abilities that draw multiple cards always require extra attention from both players, because...

I would quit this forum if the Ban Brainstorm vendetta run by a handful of people doesn't stop.
It's just spam at this point.

I made a deck almost exactly like that right after TNN (oktober 2013). I had some number of Spell Pierce in your 0-4 slots, and only 19 lands.
I had the same approach as you (Team America with red...

Re: [Born of the Gods] Spoiler Thread

Teferi's Puzzle Box is one step closer to a hard lock.
Draw 1 card for the turn, then put all cards in hand on the bottom of library.
