I mean, this is all matchup dependent. People are assuming I just YOLO for the combo vs. any opponent which is obviously not the case or I'd be terrible at this game. However, there are plenty of...
Yeah I have beaten Storm and Omnitell before - having the speed to take advantage of them stumbling is a major reason why. Against fair decks without STP having that 4th Depths just makes it more...
I strongly disagree with this. The deck becomes so much more explosive and powerful with the 4th Dark Depths. R/G lands is first and foremost a combo deck, not a glacially slow prison deck like the...
I won an IQ over the weekend with this deck. Event was 5 rounds, cut to top 4. List was as follows:
Maindeck
4 Mox Diamond
3 Crop Rotation
4 Exploration
4 Gamble
2 Manabond
4 Life from the...
My Lands list is basically all Japanese non-foil. Tabernacle of course is English, and there's a couple random German/Russian cards scattered about (Glacial Chasm isn't available in Japanese, so...
I've played Inferno Titan in mono-red Sneak before. He is an extremely fast clock (especially under a moon). Note that he is actually absurdly difficult to chump block, as you can just arc...
It's even funnier for me, because they are the two decks I generally play when I want to win (and I've been on both sides of the matchup in the past). I was locked in on Lands for GP: Tacoma...
I wouldn't play Nether Void. Take it from experience - I've played a LOT of Pox and black-based Stax, and the card is bad. Trinisphere is much better in the majority of cases. Chains is ok but...
I took my list from the previous page to my local last night. Matchups were as follows:
Round 1 - Omnitell
I lose the die roll and my opponent goes Island -> Preordain. My Exploration gets...
Thanks. I would stick with Grip - it destroys Omniscience and Leyline of the Void, which Decay does not. I suppose you could run a split of the two, but I definitely wouldn't cut Grip.
Resolving Boil in modern Legacy is one of the greatest feelings ever. I believe that blue players should be punished for their sins, and few cards do it better :P.
Anyways, I decided to play this...
The activation cost is a little steep but Urborg fixes that pretty handily. Of course, now we're dealing with another slot which is hard to come by.
A few years ago (pre-Thespian's Stage) I ran a small GSZ package (Veteran Explorer, E-Witness, Titan, etc.) in lands and did modestly well. The win condition was Scapeshift though which is probably...
