Split the top 8 of ChannelFireBall's $2k yesterday.
Same list as GP:Seattle, with the Song of the Dryads changing to a Choke.
R1: Elves 2-0
R2: RUG lands Mirror 2-0
R3: Esper Delver 2-1
R4:...
I think it’s interesting you beat up on sneak and then lost out to Taxes. Either way, congrats on the finish!
I’d personally board like this with your list:
-bog
-chasm
-ghost quarter...
Maybe we can get back to DTB now?
GP Seattle Tournament report here
Both G1 of ANT and Sneak, I got lucky and raced.
G2 against sneak, I lose to a blood moon and early sneak attack. G3, he keeps: Petal, Volcanic, Spell Pierce, Sneak attack, Show and Tell, Force of...
Split the CFB $4k today, with 112 players showing up.
Played against:
R1: Eldrazi and Taxes 2-1
R2: Turbo Depths 2-0
R3: Sneak and Show 2-1
R4: ANT 2-1
R5: RG Lands 2-0
R6: ID
I’ve been on two for quite some time now. I bring it in against the snapcaster decks and anything with obvious graveyard interaction, as well as combo.
I’ve also been known to like it against...
EE has always been good. If they weren’t good I would play RG.
Molten vortex is a beast. Czech can’t usually beat it as they play one decay in the 75 and it’s nice insurance against decks packing...
Split CFB’s $4k with my usual RGu list.
1 Academy Ruins
1 Barbarian Ring
1 Bojuka Bog
3 Dark Depths
1 Forest
4 Ghost Quarter
1 Glacial Chasm
Fun to see O stone back in someone's list. Used to play it MD in the old creeping tar pit days.
I still like grips quite a lot. The "uncounterable" part is nothing to scoff at when trying to remove back to basics or something else important and it also does really well against certain things...
Blue isn't dead yet. Rep blue for life!
I have older decklist pictures but this is shortly after I started foiling a bit and probably the nicest looking photo/scan I have in the second era of lands.

Kozilek's Return is still the best DnT sweeper for a surefire kill everything. I'm also partial to Subterranean Tremors even if the card is awful, haha.
Grip is spectacular. There's many instances split second comes in handy, down to being uncounterable, or taking care of annoying problems like vial. I've had so many DnT players think they're safe by...
It also still retains the "(2) Copy Target Land" Ability which is pretty silly.
Funny enough, you can copy whatever you Song with thespian's stage. I have a friend who put Song in off Show and Tell and got emrakul, then copied it and won.
I think I keep one in. I've also EE'ed some petals as they try to play their way through tax artifacts.
The matchup is bad but winnable. I beat Sneak at vegas in round 8, thankfully his cantrips didn't agree with him and I had outs to blood moon both times.
Well if its anything, I 4-0'ed a small grinder on Saturday and 5-0'ed a grinder today with the same GP list, with the two warping wails as a needle and ancient grudge now. List feels sweet. Not sold...
Good to see you back, Patrick. :)
Troll and Toad had a few of them at the GP this weekend for a good price. I wish I knew, I would've let you know.
Okay, here we go from memory. My list:
1 Academy Ruins
1 Barbarian Ring
1 Bojuka Bog
3 Dark Depths
1 Forest
4 Ghost Quarter
1 Glacial Chasm
Finished 11-4 at vegas. Pretty happy with the results although some of my losses were just mulling to oblivion which sucked. Love the deck overall.
Started 3-2 at the GP losing an unfortunate match to elves after mulling to oblivion. Rallied back to end 7-2 with no byes. My other loss was to TES getting turn 2'ed then turn 1 game 2.
