    Re: [Deck] Miracle Control

Terminus anyone? Sure, they get their extra turn. For what?

Or you can attack their mana-base:

    1) Vindicate (as suggested above) can do what Detention Sphere and the like can't - destroy...

    Sticky: Re: How Humility Works

Starting with a 1/3 creature, the effects are applied in this order:

    Layer 7a - nothing
    Layer 7b - nothing
    Layer 7c - -0/-1 is applied -> it's a 1/2 creature
    Layer 7d - nothing
    Layer 7e - P/T...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

    Sounds good.

At least it's the only card that functions similarly and has a reasonable casting cost. The downside is that especially BUG won't have too much trouble paying the 2 extra mana.

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

    Thanks!

Yes, I have considered EE + Ruins, but not in this version. I can't see any slots for it in my list.

Anyway, there are two problems with EE.

    a) EE gets better with more colors....

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

Yes. My black splash, however, is not primariliy about discard (just in the sb vs combo etc), but for Vindicate. I was looking for a replacement of Detention Sphere, which just doesn't stick against...

Re: No Holds Barred - Best Creature in Legacy?

    Autochthon Wurm

Neither a creature to cast, nor to cheat into play. But still the most broken combo-enabler.

    Re: [Deck] Solidarity

Well, apart from the story itself, it is still a good name for the deck, since all the cards work very well together. There are so many little synergies, interactions and complex plays.

Re: [DTB] Canadian Thresh (a.k.a. RUG Tempo, Tempo Thresh)

Sorry, but what exactly are you suggesting here?

You can't choose two different values for X as you cast Chalice. And if you choose X=1, the CMC is 2, so it can be hit by Spell Snare.

    Incorrect.

Adding and removing abilities takes place in the same layer. Therefore timestamp decides what happens.

    Yes! David Gearhart did.

But wait - he is only the inventor of the deck, see the opening post of the thread for decklist and explanation.

Solidarity (more classy) or Spiral Tide (stronger).
