I'm with you on containment priest.
The new recruiter may have shot that deck into another dimension of good. They just got a card that tutors for mom, revoker, stoneforge, and flickerwisp which...

I have to politely disagree with you here. It might be lackluster late game, but it has way more impact than any of the 9 cards I'd be boarding out in this matchup. I would also argue that the tempo...
GP prague: martin juza on 4c loam vs. miracles streaming now --> https://www.twitch.tv/magic
If RG lands players havent found it, i don't think it exists. Glacial chasm is the only land that even comes close and that card is terrible. If you just need to get an edge on your local meta, you...
Thanks for the tips guys, really appreciate it.
On the T1 Gsz for dryad arbor:
If its game 1 against an unknown opponent, I don't think fetching dryad arbor is a good idea. gsz can swing the game...
@pocari79
I can dig it. I definitely over valued swords, sylvan, and life from the loam here. come next week, I'll have some practice with this sideboard strategy. Thanks for the reply :)
I've had the misfortune of being paired against reanimator, sneak and show, and tin fins in my last couple tournaments. Maybe leyline of the void was previously a crutch but I've missed it a couple...
Recently the rules were changed. Flip cards now retain their cmc on their flipped side. Therefore, garruk is 4 cmc on both sides and cannot be abrupt decayed.
I get what you mean with the fetching, i missed a top 8 yesterday for that reason =(
Statistically speaking, the poor results with getting cards you don't want at the wrong time sounds anomalous....
The only reason I can think of is just deck space. What card would you cut to fit Gritrog? There has definitely been a few occasions where i wished i had an exploration effect so accelerate wastelock...
I haven't tried Niklas' list yet, so i can't speak on sideboarding choices with that one in particular but i suspect his list is better and ill be giving it a run once i find a 3rd lilliana.
Based...
Nice, I also frequently switch between lands and 4c loam.
Strengths:
-has game against all current decks to beat
-Feels very good against miracles (most noticeable difference from playing...
Congrats on the finish! I hope Belcher wasn't your top 8 opponent, only seems winnable if you were on the play and had the right hand
No wonder I've been doing so poorly in this matchup, the option was never part of my thought process. That's interesting. So it's not correct to hold up decay for goyf (my original logic for not...
I have a question on strategy in a hypothetical situation:
G1 on the draw, and opponent opens up with fetch into underground into deathrite. Your hand has mox, chalice, 3 lands, bob, and decay....
Just thinking about the differences:
Garruk can kill something the turn you play him, can stonewall goyfs and gurmags with deathtouch tokens, and can tutor.
Arlinn buffs dudes, can bolt dudes...
Glad I wasn't the only 4c loam player in the room yesterday. Congrats on the finish :) Hymn looks much more graceful than thoughtseize, I may be picking up a playset to test. Garruk also won me a...
For eldrazi, the best ive been able to do is dismember. Doesnt get locked out by chalice, kills everything in their deck unless they're going rogue, its instant so it can take out TKS before your...
I guess I hadn't thought about how hard most decks fight to keep bob and knight off the table. The creatures are so good, resurrecting them even once seems fantastic. I'll definitely be giving it a...
I like Meren but I don't think it has the same role as garruk. I understand he can't be cast if teeg is in play but being a planeswalker gives garruk so much more staying power which is why he's so...
By no means am I an authority on this deck but I'll float the way I sideboard for the matchups you mentioned. Feel free to correct me if some of these decisions are silly.
delver:
This matchup...
I failed to mention that I spent Sunday play testing against a friend who was on eldrazi and won about 50% of games pre board. Based on this and what I've been hearing, I wouldn't say the matchup is...
Eldrazi was one of my three losses in scg philly, Losing on T4 both games. There's not a whole lot you can do game 1 since the average 4c loam hand is not going to be equipped to handle eldrazi. The...
