    Re: Song of Creation Storm

Unless your opponents are trash, they should be using Spell Pierce and Daze on Carpet of Flowers, Veil of Summer and Defense Grid. Peer is for getting around Stifle, Red Elemental Blast and graveyard...

    Re: Song of Creation Storm

I don't see a reason to compare Song and Peer at all, the latter is a post board win condition with Carpet of Flowers and Burning Wish.

I'd get testing with Carpet, it will make you reconsider a...

    Re: Song of Creation Storm

The engines shouldn't be compared to each other in terms of power, but how they fair vs your opponent's hate. As long as Peer into the Abyss is immune to Pyroblast, Stifle and graveyard hate, as long...

    Re: Song of Creation Storm

The only problem I see with Echo of Eons is inherent in the design of the deck, without a way to hard cast it you are only using half of the card. Without Carpet of Flowers in your SB, you're...

    Re: Song of Creation Storm

Burning Wish can be used with Lion's Eye Diamond for Diminishing Returns or you can Burning Wish for Diminishing Returns and pass, it's more than reasonable to break up the mana cost over multiple...

    Re: Song of Creation Storm

Warrens and Veil are a good combination, but I begrudgingly think Defense Grid is the best pre to post board strategy because it protects you from losing to Pyroblast and Stifle/Fluster Storm...

    Re: Song of Creation Storm

Veil protects the deck from disruption that Defense Grid doesn't, discard and Chalice, it only has one downside, Pyroblast. You don't have to cast Veil on the same turn you plan to go off, as long as...

    Re: RUG Storm

Both, it depends entirely on the mana you have floating and the hamd you draw into. If you hard cast or Burning Wish for an Echo of Eons, then you are generally setting up for a win on your next...

    Re: RUG Storm

Yup, ironically the biggest change that benefitted the speed of the deck was boarding 1 Echo of Eons. I think you board it for game 1 and then bring it in for game 2, where you have to slow down in...

    Re: RUG Storm

I put in a lot of gold fishing last evening, I think 3 Volcanic and Faithless Looting is just better than Island and Careful Study, you really don't want a single colour producing land for your...

    Re: RUG Storm

I agree that Defense Grid warrants a counter spell just as much as Veil of Summer, the issue I have is that it's slow and I don't want to have to commit Lotus Petals into my disrupton and get 241ed...

    Re: Song of Creation Storm

I think it depends on what lines of play you want to emphasize, I see Tropical Island into Tinder Wall and untapping with Veil of Summer in hand as a strong play because it lets you get 2xGreen for...

    Re: Song of Creation Storm

I think hitting multiple Rite of Flames after a Song of Creation is a win more problem, once the Enchantment is down the win is inevitable. The first Tinder Wall is a mana fixing Rite of Flame with...

    Re: Song of Creation Storm

A couple points of criticism, if you guys are having trouble with faster Storm and Reanimator then Telemin Performance would do you a world of good. Manamorphose and Rite of Flame can probably be...

    Re: RUG Storm

Either Faithless Looting or Careful Study is necessary, you can't rely entirely on Lion's Eye Diamond in order to discard and pay for Echo of Eons.

Spirit Guides are worse Mox Opals, in a deck...

    Re: RUG Storm

I've tested Song of Creation Storm and found it lacking, RUG Storm came about as removing the slowest parts of that deck and focusing on the fastest parts. What I realized is that Echo of Eons is two...

    Re: RUG Storm

Song of Creation is another deck, I am not adding Rite of Flame (Tinder Wall is better fyi) and Manamorphose to cast a 4 mana enchantment on T2 when I could be casting a Veil protected D7 on T1...

    Re: RUG Storm

Song of Creation is garbage, it doesn't abuse LED as a Black Lotus and the tripple color requirement makes it impossible to accelerate into with rituals effects. It ends up being a cotrol combo deck,...

Re: [Deck] Spanish Inquisition (B/x Storm Combo)

I decided to screw around with a Myr Enforcer, Burnt Offering and Peer Into The Abyss deck today, I was pissing myself laughing the whole time. It might be a mana engine that can replace LEDs and...

Re: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

In my experience, Grim Monolith is better than Rite of Flame for a midgame and Defense Grid is too easy to play around when you have to go to the midgame.

    Wishclaw Talisman doesn't need anythng...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

Vine Dryad seems like a cute idea, probably worse than Basking Rootwalla but there might be some funny list where you play both for turbo Hogaak.

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

You're going to lose too much time to dredging 2, playing Dakmor Salvage and activating Ashen Ghoul, what makes Silversmote Ghoul good is that it doesn't cost you 4 Dredge or reduce your hand size.
