I wish I had seen this card around 8 years ago when I was still playing, but better late than never.

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

If you're using Green Sun's Zenith, finding Vexing Shusher so you get both the enchantment and the tokens is pretty neat. Otherwise, your curve is still higher than most other decks, so you get more...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

I've been running 4 Carpets MD for a long time instead of Elephant Grass, and I've never regretted it since my meta has always been filled with blue tempo. When DRS appeared and the popularity of...

    :1::w:

Nonenchantment spells cost :1: more to cast.

Hence why I voted for white on the YMTC poll.

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

I play 2 Replenish MD and 4 RiP SB. They usually switch sides when RiP is needed. Does that count?

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

My bad. That's one of those facepalms for me.

I agree on the rest. Earthcraft is pretty good on its own and I find it unbannable for today's standards too. The only discrepancy with you is that...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Sacred Mesa without Earthcraft is clunky. Squirrel Nest without Earthcraft is useless.

Enchantress is too slow of a combo deck to be worried about the earliest turn in which it can kill. Also,...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

I don't think there's that much to say. You have things like Wild Growth, Utopia Sprawl and Carpet of Flowers, and land drops are guaranteed anyway once the draw engine starts flowing. IMO...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

I'm not that sure. Card drawing is good, but simple mana fixing pales in comparison to mana acceleration.

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

@ Downdraft: While it's quite curious of a card, unless you face opposing Emrakuls on a regular basis, Raking Canopy does the same and doesn't require a constant mana input.

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

I usually win mirror matches by landing an Aura of Silence ASAP, or Vexing Shusher + Dovescape, or Worship. Not necessarily all of them at once, but they are three separate valid methods. Worship not...

A single Suppression Field on the table shuts down their entire deck, too.

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

This is pretty much the only reason why you would avoid playing Sigil. However, since the deck already takes several turns to get everything it needs online, waiting for a couple more should be the...

Thanks all for the replies. I posted that thinking I was forgetting something, and indeed I forgot something.

    - Sigil of the Empty Throne: only one? I can't see why the deck can't run at least a...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

The main points I'd like to discuss are:

    - Replenish: my problem comes form decks like Landstill. Game 1 is defined by them countering all my relevant spells followed by a timely Replenish of...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Surprising the opponent should never be a reason to include anything in any deck. Winning against decks you can't normally beat is another story, but I don't think this is the case. Enchantress loses...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

Two colors are more stable than three, but note that Words of War accomplishes two different tasks: allowing you to stop your own enchantresses from decking you, and being a win condition. That's why...

What could I say... Such a straightforward list is probably the best you could have started with. I like everything in there and I understand your reasons to include (or not) certain cards. I'd just...

Nothing that Leyline of Sanctity and Runed Halo can't do, and both are cheaper to cast. Against everything else, Solitary Confinement is generally better. I could only see a chance for it in a meta...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

I would compare the damage prevention effect with Glacial Chasm rather than Moat, but it's ok as long as we understand each other. The fact is that there are matchups where you don't need Ivory Mask,...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

I tried 4 Suppression Field MD for that matter. Of course, I couldn't run any fetchlands nor Words of War; instead I went with Wooded Bastion and Pursuit of Knowledge.

    So far I've drawn the...

Progenitus has no triggered abilities. What prevents it from touching a graveyard is a static ability, more specifically a replacement effect. It can never be in a graveyard except corner cases like...

    Re: [Deck] Solitaire (Enchantress)

First of all, Words of War has an activated ability that generates a replacement effect on resolution. If you wait until the draw step to pay anything with Words of War, you are doing it wrong. It's...
