OK, but the question still stands. For those of us unwilling to cut counterbalance, what do we take out for MM and yet still manage to preserve a somewhat reasonable curve?
What do we cut for MM? I've been trying to figure this out for like a week, but the list is too tight. Any suggestions? I'd just cut daze, but then my curve gets too centered on the 1 slot.
Before we leave this topic entirely, it should be pointed out that Threads cant take Tombstalker or Thoctar, or Hippies, or a bunch of other creatures. Yes, costing one less is really cool, and it...
I'm assuming you're encompassing Goyf Sligh into "Zoo", but you should still consider Canadian thresh, where you're likely going to have 3-4 Fire//Ice, 3-4 Bolts, and Stifle. That's plenty of good...
Yes, Grip and Pridemage and possibly Oblivion Ring, depending on the matchup. As opposed to Chain Lightning, Lightning Bolt, Firespout, Fire//Ice, Lightning Helix, Path to Exile, Swords to...
These two things are actually really bad together. I played 3 sower in my sideboard at Worlds and one of the pre-lims, and I can tell you for a fact that catching creature removal and losing what...
That's my exact list, -3 snares and +1 Daze, Standstill and Island in the main, and -2 tormods -1 relic for Kgrip #4 and 2 sowers in the board.
How have the snares been working for you, and have...
I might go U/G/W just because the new mage is so f*cking sexy. Plus, running swords/path would just be really cool. But then I lose Fire//Ice and Firespout, both of which have been utterly huge for...
GAH, nevermind. I seriously thought it said TAP target creature and it doesn't untap during it's controller's untap step. Poop, and here I thought it would be good.
I'd love to hear the specifics here. Did you draw into them consistently? Was the damage from clasm not enough, or was it that it didn't clear enough creatures? I'd like to hear how these games...
Do not assume you get dreadnought every game. The games you have him he's a house against speed aggro, but you simply do not draw stifle and nought every hand. In those situations, where you have...
Yes. You need firespout against speed aggro decks, like Elves! or Goblins. The fact that it comes in against dragon stompy to clear moon magi, RPD, and un-Hellbent Gathan Raiders is just an added...
I really don't like that he's comparing it to Hulk-Flash. If this GP gets Dreadnought banned, I'll cry.
I wonder what made him shy away from the Urg version (other than red's recent success). ...
This is not always true. While the dreadnought is huge, and often wins creature wars on it's own, it does not guarantee wins all by itself. There have been multiple times in tournament play where I...
Goyf stompy, Dryad Stompy, 'Zilla Stompy, Sligh this sligh that. It's red, it's green, and it has creatures with large asses. God only knows how many variations there can be. Yes, the match up is...
They also feel distinctly win-more. You run quite a few counters, so you really shouldn't have a hard time winning counterwars against just about anything but like, hardcore MUC matchups. If you're...
I would cut the Shushers out of the board. I really can't think of a matchup where it's vital that you have shusher, considering he requires both your splash colors (or a double) to cast, and takes...
Cough *tarmogoyf* Cough.
I would vouch that we're talking about the same crap from two months ago because that same crap is still doing fantastic, and winning tournaments. I really don't see why we need new cards...
From my limited testing, Aggro-Loam is actually not that horribly easy. It might not be unfavorable, but recuring goyfs mixed with LD and chalice out of the board makes it far from a bye.
I've been waiting to do that for so long.
If you're only playing two colors, main deck 4x wasteland. You have plenty of basics and whatnot for colors, and the additional disruption might come in handy. Plus, then you don't have to leave...
That sounds like a terrible idea when it would be so easy to just get an actual answer for it. I.E. Grip/Oring Ect. Spending a bounce spell and then attempting to fight a counter-war against...
The blue one costs 2. Trinket mage only tutors for cards with CC less than or equal to 1. 2>1. When I said you can't trinket for it I wasn't referring to the black one, just the blue one.
