Meanwhile in Europe:

I always wonder what would happen if WotC technically sold the IP of Magic to a third party. Would the Reserved List still be binding? After all it's not inherent to Magic as an IP, just a promise of...
Meanwhile in Europe, you still get her for $17 :eyebrow:
@HammerAndSickled: If you want exposure for you and your deck, get on Twitter. Forget Facebook, forums or whatever, it's basically the absolute prime place to build a name for yourself and get into...
I didn't really have banks in my when I spoke of venture capital. I doubt any real bank would actually hand out credits for the sole purpose of speculation to someone who's otherwise lacking...
I know that you seem to have a lot of experience with #mtgfinance but if things are basically as easy as you make them sound, you should have no problem finding the desired 100k$ in venture capital...
There was also Ramp with Cloudthresher and Lark and a little bit of Merfolk. I remember because I dropped from my National Qualifier at 3-0 (playing Faeries) to play in a 12-man Legacy event (playing...
There are 2 Russian ones on MCM for 25€ each, in case someone wonders.
Kayradis makes it sound as if he was selling his family's card or something, lol.
"We sold our Honda last fall, got a decent price for it. We...we don't regret it. We don't.... *sigh*."
Why would they?
Playing the game is what it's all about in the end. No matter whether you're using white bordered 8th Edition Mountains or Arabian Nights ones.
To play the game?
Regarding pimp, these days most people just slam some money into the internet and their all-foil deck shows up in the mail. It used to be different when the community was...
Richard Garfield says there are. BOOM!
While the original Ravnica ones are more expensive (at least last time I checked), I don't ever see them coming close to FBB Duals in Legacy. Modern as a...
I also don't think it's "worth it". As in: I would never pay that much for a card, especially since there's a way cheaper alternative.
But folks are crazy. Looking at that one ebay auction, it's...
I've got someone offering me a Judge Promo Maze of Ith for 214€ (270$).
Do you think it's gonna be worth it?
Some friends of mine and me bought like 3.000€ worth of cards from our local store for less than 30€. The shop had almost everything you could wish for but the owner never showed any interest in...
It's not about not understanding the inner workings of the free market. It's about neglecting it in the first place. Arguing that understanding the free market equals being positive about it, is...
Right now, people are asking 30+€ for them. However, according to mcm statistics, none has sold at that price thus far.
You mean right before the European Legacy GP? Uhm..no?
Do those Shoals actually sell for that price? Because you can still get them for rather cheap on mkm.
Modern isn't going to harm dealers. The only thing it does is making them some money if they're wise enough (from my perspective) to sell while modern cards are overpriced due to speculation.

So I hear people still read comics.
/edit: So I actually took the time to inform myself on that comic book crash. As a matter of fact it was just another bubble, caused by massive speculation,...
Looks different from Koreann and Japanese. So Chinese or something? I don't know...
@dsck: yeah, you're right. I didn't realize those black bordered cards were of course from Legends.
Magiccardsmarket has black bordered German NM at 18€, English from around 23-27€, so Asian should be like 40€-50€. Maybe even way more.
