    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Not to make assumptions, but whoever made that first list clearly enjoys meth.

It also means you can't have wasteland, which makes your trinisphere/lodestones/chalices much worse.

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

I would much prefer to have coercive portal, because the extra card it gives you will either be the mana you needed (land/metalworker/monolith) or something you can play with the 4+ mana you already...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Perhaps randomly posting your list that you may or may not have come up with in the shower and never actually played with isn't the best method of conversation...

    And to completely undermine that,...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

If forked bolt had a big brother that cost 4 mana and divvied up 3 damage instead, that would be a terrible card. Serrated arrows does that, except it takes 3 turns to do it. Even if forked bolt...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Damn I wish Ugin wasn't 8 mana. Or was an artifact. I also wish they would stop making all the good colorless cards be non-artifacts...

On the bright side, Ugin clearly beats out karn/all is...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

I think you're the first person to ever say that.

Honestly, you are running a very standard post list. Most people I have seen run 11-posts, 3 cities, 3 caverns, but the difference of 1 card...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

One of the matchups that I want pyroclasm for is death and taxes. One of the best cards death and taxes has against us is phyrexian revoker. So I would never run whipflare over pyroclasm for this...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

I got 3rd this past weekend at a local tournament with this list. I can write a report if anyone cares:

    4 Goblin welder
    4 Metalworker
    4 Kuldotha forgemaster
    3 Lodestone golem

    1 Blighsteel...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

He looked to be playing around daze, as a lot of stoneblade decks run it. Although he did seem rather uneasy. Props to him anyhow, he clearly knows what he is doing with the deck. I imagine the...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Pox is one of the worst matchups for this deck. Because the curve is so high, and we play a small number of actual creatures, pox is the perfect card against this deck. If they run liliana,...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

Both versions want to run wasteland, and not having it is detrimental to both. The effectiveness of lodestone golem, trinisphere, sundering titan and even chalice of the void is hurt by not running...

UR delver/young pyro is another pretty poor matchup. Running some number of thousand-year elixir is helpful. Elixir allows you to actually use metalworkers, and gives you a better chance/faster...

Best of luck in orlando, here are some thoughts for you. I never liked SDT, since the decks only shuffle effect is kuldotha (and you should win after a kuldotha activate) meaning it only really...

    Re: [Deck] MUD (Metalworker)

I've been looking into a welder version lately as well. If you want to run welder, you need to pick a side of the chalice of the void debate. If you want to run chalice, you need to minimize your...
